TFM was an EP ...

I don't get why people say that because it's only got 8 tracks means it isn't an album. The best selling album of all time - Thriller by Michael Jackson only had 9 songs.

we call it an album but technically , its an EP

oh look when you werent looking my motorcycle turned into a piano

Gaga refers to it as her second album and it was nominated for album of the year at the Grammys. It also exceeds the maximum length of an EP.

Her Next album as in the one after Act II (if that exists) and Cheek to Cheek (if that ever sees the light of day) will probably be released in 5 yrs time

Billboard classes an EP as 4 - 6 songs. The Recording Association of America defines an EP as 3-5 songs.

The Fame Monster has 8 songs. It's an album. That's a fact.

Here's mine! :D This is super long lol sorry.

Album Title: "Devil of Pop" or maybe "She-Devil"

The album is sonically and lyrically dark, but not emotionally. It's all about overcoming negativity and embracing and taking pride in the most twisted parts of yourself. I love Gaga's bad girl side and I hope her album showcases more of that than ARTPOP did! I live for tracks like MJH, HML, and Bad Romance.

Tracklist:

1. Starfall

2. Fétiche

3. Deville feat. Rihanna

4. Fishnets

5. Medusa

6. Sheezus feat. Kanye West

7. Psychotic Music Head

8. Alienne

9. Divinyl

10. Grave Rave

11.  Ice Queen

12. Nothing On (But the Radio)

Singles:

1. Deville

2. Divinyl

3. Sheezus

4. Fishnets

Open spoiler for details about each track.

1. Starfall -- Electronic power ballad a la Gypsy about being a decaying celebrity who has fallen out of public favor but keeps her identity and happiness

2. Fétiche -- Dirty, grinding club track about visiting an underground s-x club, visuals of leather, BDSM, etc.
3. Deville feat. Rihanna -- Sultry midtempo dance track about being irresistably attracted to a man who has wronged you and who will wrong you again, charged with "forbidden" s-x appeal.

4. Fishnets -- Somewhat radio-pandering club song about going out with your single friends to a club, using your fishnets to "catch" a date, with some other fishing/hunting metaphors like "Get him hooked."
5. Medusa -- Sizzling woman-power anthem about using fashion to change your identity or make you feel powerful again when you feel ugly.
6. Sheezus feat. Kanye West -- Kinda self-explanatory. Rapped verses, sung chorus, brag track like Cake. "She-Jesus"
7. Psychotic Music Head -- Twisted EDM track with somewhat simple, repetetive lyrics but a strong chorus and psychedelic, trippy instrumentals.
8. Alienne - Third-person spacey pop song about a girl named Alienne who moves to Earth from another planet and tries to blend in
9. Divinyl -- Retro disco dance track, slowed down, a chance to show off vocal skills with sultry melismata
10. Grave Rave -- Bouncing, uptempo, silly track with lyrics about dancing in the forest in the middle of the night, some campy/cheesy Halloween-ish metaphors like "We'll be howling at the moon tonight," "Baby can rob my grave," etc.
11. Ice Queen -- Piano with some minor screeching Bloody Mary-style industrial production sprinkled tastefully in, lyrics and vocals start off cold and guarded but become more confessional toward the end.
12. Nothing On (But The Radio) -- I just really want this to be released officially :flop: Doesn't really fit with the theme of the album though. So I slapped it on at the end so the album will end on a happy/high note.

Producers: Zedd, (main) Lady Gaga, Purity Ring, Goldfrapp

For those unfamiliar with Purity Ring and Goldfrapp's production, here are some examples:

Also check out Ooh La La by Goldfrapp and Belispeak by Purity Ring if you're interested in their original work. :saira:

Though I'm obviously dreaming, I'm also kind of trying to be realistic here-- i.e. I would LOVE to see a collab between Gaga and Lana Del Rey, or production from Trent Reznor or Emilie Autumn, but since Lana and Emilie kind of hate Gaga cause they let their darn egos get in the way, and since Trent would never be caught dead producing a major pop album, I know they'll never happen. :toofloppy:

Song By Song

1: A progressive song about how Gaga wants to make an impact and not only make the sculpture, but also be the sculpture. Starts with strings and piano and ends with drum and bass like beats to flow into the next song.

2: Drum and bass beats dominate this instrumental track co-produced by Mark Bell. The song slows down and ends with a tornado alarm like sound.

3: Tornado alarm continues, followed by a beat similar to G.U.Y., song is about an "inspection" :hor:

4: Heavy drumming to flow with previous track, then slow drums, but beats and drums progress throughout, until Gaga ends the song screaming over a rave-y beat.

5: Gaga singing over LFO track "Freak"

6: Slow track blending with previous, with strings and brass, with lyrics dedicated to Joanne.

7: Brass gets faster, piano comes in and brass goes out; Gaga sings about fame and critics in this medium paced song

8: Industrial song dedicated to Taylor Kinney

9: Interlude with sensual breathing over slow electronic beat

10: Stars slow and turns into a industrial dance song about expression through hair, and Gaga's fashion in general

11: Fades in with buzzing which is constant in the song, with lyrics about an annoying ex

12: Slow cover of jazz standard, with piano, brass, and strings

13: After a cinematic climax in the previous track, a song based on strings and Gaga breathing follows. Two breathing voices come from left and right with Gaga singing about death in both channels.

14: A two minute silence, then Gaga's mix of Tinnitus

15: A song directed to Lüc with strings, guitar, piano, industrial beats, and a girls choir ends the album.
