I'm Christian and I find Katy's video offensive seeing as that's the same God I believe in whose name is being burned. If the bible or even a piece of paper with God written on it were to be burned in a video Christians would be mad about that and they wouldn't be told to "get over it"... And rightfully so. Anyways there is legitimate backlash for this... Whether you want to accept it or not. Everyone has a right to state their opinion and criticism about different religions but when religious symbols are being burned (especially for entertainment) that's purely cheap and tacky and very disrespectful Not saying it's right to be offensive, but I doubt they meant anything by it. The ones who are telling you to suck up and get over it are mostly atheists and they are saying the same to Muslims, so what's your point? Both can get offended, who can forbid that? From personal experience Christians being offended is not taken near as seriously. I mean look at the petition. People need to get over themselves and not patronize others because of their religion. If this were any other religion I doubt this type of thing would even come about. I wonder how many views that video has gotten over the fuss everyone has been making. :roll: And people signing the petition just to be rude to Katy- I can't. If you're gonna put your name on something, you should actually believe in it. If you're supporting this petition just so you can try to bring Katy down a peg, you should probably understand that rising because of someone else's unfair downfall would not be the way Gaga would want to become more relevant. She doesn't like that ****. No matter how much better Gaga is as an artist, performer, musician, etc., no matter how much better ARTPOP is than PRISM, do you really think Gaga would like to hear "We signed this petition so Katy's video would be removed because she's your competition and we don't like her!" ??? Do you really think Gaga would THANK you for trying to censor someone else's artwork? I could not stand Prism (only good song on the entire album, in my opinion, was Dark Horse), but what I can't stand even more is people taking cheap shots. If you want Katy to become less relevant, you're better off ignoring things related to her instead of feeding in to the controversy.
