Refrain from making non-sensical & obtuse statements on matters you obviously have no knowledge of, so that next time you don't look like a total jerk.

I think Mods should close this thread because so many people are making such offensive & uninformed comments, it's sickening!

Do NOT close this thread, for once there is a mature discussion of a mature subject that is in a way, related to Gaga, not just teenager sales traumas

keep this open so more fans know about this, to help Gaga make a decision

This!

I've learned a lot in this thread, I think Is the most insteresant thread I've ever seen on GGD

PLEASE do not close

I don't think the mods will close it, apart from a couple of bad comments the majority of people seem to be having a mature discussion in here.

I am at work so I can't really participate in the discussion unfortunately but I'd like to narrow it down to this problem at the moment:

The Fourth Geneva Convention applies to the West Bank, to the Gaza Strip, and to the entire City of Jerusalem, in order to protect the Palestinians living there. The Palestinian People living in this Palestinian Land are “protected persons†within the meaning of the Fourth Geneva Convention. All of their rights are sacred under international law.

If you see the map that I posted last night those areas are also taken away by a great deal which obviously is gonna issues.

Israel fully aware does not respect the international laws and gives a hoot about the "protected persons".  Even goes as far as shooting in INTERNATIONAL waters where their laws does not apply and kills innocent people.

I don't think it's right to see this from just one side. It's a complex issue... I don't support the injustice toward innocent Palestinians at all, nor do I support any attacks on Israel... I think it's also important for people to recognize that it's not okay to make generalizations about either side.

With that being said, I don't feel that I fully understand the conflict... and for that reason, I'm not sure I totally agree with the idea of Gaga cancelling the show.

When did Gaga become political person? I remember time when she was a singer

What are you talking about? Gaga has always taken a stand for what she believes in. She has never been the type to just ~shut up and sing~

Since... the beginning?

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

Put thats the thing she is performing in the Palestinians country , it is their country as well you know. They just aren't allowed to go because of their ethnicity or the fact they aren't isreali/Jewish.

Maybe if you were under a blockade and were made to go on separate roads than everyone else like a subhuman you would complain.

It has nothing to do with ethnicity/race. 20% of Israel are non-Palestinian Arabs. They can go wherever they want. Also the Jewish population itself is split between the European majority and others of different races. The conflict is a national one, between Israel and the Palestinian National Authority. I agree the people of Gaza should be able to travel to the West Bank etc. and that they suffer massive injustice, but it's unfortunate you're giving inaccurate information, especially since Gaga fans are an impressionable crowd and know next to nothing about world politics.

Can we close this thread now? Thank you.

Why does it need to be closed? If anything more people need to be aware.

Aware of what? of the OP and his friends biased opinion? :toofunny:

It's just as biased as you are.

And where I agree to Israel from a political point of view there's no reason to deny the humanitarian point of view.

The creation of Israel was a good and solid descision, the frame work so to say. Yet the painting itself turned very ugly.

I've said many times what my views over this conflicts are. No one wants to continue the occupation, no one. Please, take a look at my first comments where I explained my opinion before you call me biased.

The painting is yet to be done. Many painters, none of them is the only one to blame.

Mister G

All I'm going to say and don't bash me for this, is that Madonna went in 2012 as part of the MDNA Tour. No one protested, boycotted or lashed out for her going there. Soooooo if she can do it, and not face any persecution for going there by her fans then I don't see why Gaga can't do the same.
