Brad 2,440 Posted February 23, 2014 Share Posted February 23, 2014 So, this'll be a tutorial for anyone who wants to make/remake ARTPOP covers. And incase you are confused by what I mean, here is what you'll be replicating. Now, start out by opening a 700x700 Image. Paste this sunburst image into your project. Make sure it's centered. Now, paste your first image onto your project OVER the sunburst. Adjust it to your liking. Then hide that layer. Return to your sunburst layer. Use your Select by Color Tool (I'm using GIMP, but I'm sure there is a Photoshop equivilant to this tool). Select only white or only black. It should look like this (I selected white). Unhide your "Venus" layer and return to it. Invert the selection and press delete. Now unselect anything you have selected. It should look like this. You can now delete the sunburst layer. Now paste your second image in. I messed with this one until I was happy with it. I expanded the image, turned the contrast up a bit, and turned the saturation all the way down. It's not perfect, but it'll work. Now, move that layed UNDER your "Venus" layer. It should look like this now. Time to add Gags! Paste this image onto the project. It should look like this. Now, you're almost finished. Paste this image onto your project. You'll wanna seperate the "Lady Gaga" and the "ARTPOP" into different layers. The name goes behind Gags and the title goes infront of her. It'll look like this. Finally, paste this image onto the project. And now you're done! If you did everything I did, It'll look somethign like this. Of course you can edit the settings and make it look a little different. Haha.
