Chic 20,830
Its not like rude or anything though. U was only explaining people why they shouldn't worry for something that is actually fine. There is no reason for you to be rude to me like I killed your mother or anything. If people didn't like the performance, that's fine; they're allowed to melt down over it, just as you're allowed to express this opinion. However, the main fault in your argument is that you're reminding people of the situation, particularly those who may not have enjoyed it, and are disciplining them over it. Not only do I disagree with this, but it's only going to inflame the situation further because you're starting this whole discussion all over again. I see everyone discussing it everywhere. I just started a nice convo and thought it was my responsibility to inform people about this since I follow the charts etc. Hiding from problems won't solve them. My post was very positive. And no, noone should meltdown because of a performance he didn't like, he is allowed to but he shouldn't. Meltdowns are what bring this forum into chaos and destroy the experience for us, not a productive thread like this one that aims to informing people about the situation and calm them. Stefani328 321
You're the only one melting down that I see. Seems like an instigating topic to me. Despicable. There were meltdowns today. They carried on from the ones that people had last night. Just check the thread for the performance, the last three or four pages, they are only from a few hours ago. Ascetic 0
I'm ignoring them tbh some of you are seriously worry-some because of one performance

Meltdowns are what bring this forum into chaos and destroy the experience for us, not a productive thread like this one that aims to informing people about tje situation and calm them. You said meltdowns are unacceptable and stupid and then implied that the only reason people didn't like the performance is because they're ignorant. That's what I got out of it and I doubt others felt much different. Hiding from problems, in this case, will literally solve them. Do you honestly think this topics reassured anyone except the people who liked the performance in the first place? Letting people who didn't like the performance forget about it without the inflammation of topics like these will do more for the situation than anything. Valextra 58
I have a feeling that ignorance is what is pushing people to these meltdowns so I think some things should be cleared out tbh. First of all ARTPOP is NOT the 3rd single. The performance today was not to promote a single. The performance today was to promote the album. Still it couldn't obviously send the album in the top 50 of iTunes because a show like this doesn't have the power to do such a thing to a Pop album. I think everyone knows already that a 3rd single era is under construction. The only reason of this performance was to keep the album alive till the 3rd single era, nothing more and nothing less. Gaga's team did the right move. The only reason ARTPOP the song was chosen is because sametitled songs tend to promote the albums better. There is no reason for the song to rise on iTunes etc because this wasn't the point of all these from the beginning. Nothing wrong and nothing bad happened yesterday. The 3rd single couldn't be performed yesterday because it would be over even before it began So you are probably asking now what should you do. There is only one thing to do, wait. If you are willing to and you still care of course. So stop with the stupid meltdowns cause you got an amazing performance yesterday and a full (and well-organized for once as it seems) era is still upon us. I am totally agree with you, the performance was amazing and I am happy :)

Just check the thread for the performance, the last three or four pages, they are only from a few hours ago. I didn't see them. Regardless, all this topic will do is compel people who loved the performance to come here and post the emoticon because they happen to be in a position where they are content with the situation and can calmly establish themselves as psuedo-angels who support Gaga fully. Which is especially funny when some of those same people were freaking the **** out over the possibility of Venus not being the single. Ignorance = lack of knowledge. And yes, the meltdowns were stupid, it this that offending? You're acting like knowledge has to be possessed to get the performance. Have you ever considered that some people just didn't like it? That opinion doesn't take much intelligence to form. And yes, it is offending.

The point of this thread was not to make people love the performance but appreciate the strategy behind the performance and not worry about chart positions because everything is fine. The performance did its work regardless if people liked it or not.

IHE 562
Welcome to Gaga Daily. It would seem you have only just arrived... Best just grit your teeth and wade through the sheisse. I have some galoshes you can borrow. Gaga Daily ARTPOP survival gear. "You're just a pig inside a human body. Squealer, squealer, squeal out, you're so disgusting. You're just a pig inside." (Poor little guy). You also need a sandwich press. I suggest this industrial sized one. All the cool kids are using them.

The point of this thread was not to make people love the performance but appreciate the strategy behind the performance and not worry about chart positions because everything is fine. The performance did its work regardless if people liked it or not. The point of this thread, as evidenced by the title, is to discipline those having meltdowns when they are completely in their right to do so. I'm saying, this thread isn't going to stop people from having meltdowns. Not at all. The only thing it might do is entirely the opposite, and remind the people meltdowning of the thing they're meltdowning over, thus creating more of a reason to meltdown. Telling people they shouldn't do something when they're angry doesn't do much. All this is going to do is cause the people who already like the performance and are in a content enough position to ridicule others who don't feel the same way with layers of excuses that subtly degrade them covering it up, to come here and praise the thread. That literally does nothing.
