Tbh I'm gonna give them weird looks and make sure it stops :later:

Not here for her music overshadowed by gay zombies :later:

Future Lover

I'm glad someone else feels this way. It was funny for two seconds when the video was first posted on Tumblr, but it isn't anymore. It SO annoying watching any recent candid video of Gaga. I have to mute the sound to watch it.

I'm honestly ashamed to say I'm a Gaga fan when you have these people being annoyances.

I like it, and I've run across multiple people OUTSIDE the fanbase (and outside the pop world in general) that even know it's a Gaga thing. I'm like seriously how did you know that? I heard a drag queen say "Yasss Gaga Yas" to a guy in a completely non Gaga situation the other day. I died :toofunny:.

My problem with it is that (and I'm speaking about it being used irl) it casually objectifies Gaga.  It's also just a little mindless and pretty rude.  It's one thing for it to happen online because it started as a fanbase joke but it's another to be surrounded by a large group of people all shouting that word over and over again without any regard to what you're doing or what you're saying.  I've seen a few videos where she seems uncomfortable and I don't blame her  :(

It's always annoyed me a little bit but I used to at least be okay with it because it was a silly fanbase joke- I even wanted that sad SNL "Old Gaga" skit to finish with elderly fans hobbling into her apartment and shouting it.  But now it really makes me uncomfortable.  It's also exploded and is being used by people outside of LM and the pop stan culture in general.  Idk.

I know that people who are defending it probably don't have any bad intentions when they use it.  But I also feel like you may not be thinking about it enough   But that can be said for many things about this fanbase.

The topic is fascinating though, it strips away the point of music and as people begin to a--lyze each other's idolatry. It creates a subtle bigotry as we a--lyze someone's excitement in meeting her and what one should and shouldn't do in her presence.

It's since flourished as an ironic expression, no doubt, but I think its usage lies in the vanity of the constant beckoning rather than actually having a conversation with her.

You could decide to meet Gaga with words, or you could squawk at her. I think the choice should be contingent with respect vs having fun.

Battle 4 Ur Life

I don't think YAAAAS it's a problem if it's written...but out loud it's awkward for both sides, especially for Gaga tbh
