migamiga 12,101
Because finally someone who wasn't just concerned with making money came on to the scene. She had a message and believed in it so profusely that it was infectious. She made every other pop artist/singer seem lazy. Also there hadn't been a pop act who could write, sing, play, and dance (well) in a long time. She's the real deal. Lover her to death
GHGUY 230
I thought the end of The Fame and all of TFM was the best. BTW was definitely the worst. This hair, makeup, nails, attitude, and fashion was everything to me

LaLuna 12,732
Because when she first came onto the music scene, she was a breath of fresh air, she had that "it factor". Her style was unique (although clearly influenced by the likes of David Bowie and Grace Jones), and her songs were extremely catchy.
vespertine 3
It was... Fresh New Amazing Different Crazy :legend:
Ambrosia 3,775
She was a refreshing change from what was currently on the scene. She had a mystery about her and people love to solve mysteries. She created interest and style that hadn't been around for maybe a decade. The songs were captivating as well as catchy and then folks caught on to her larger than life performances, which tripled the intrigue. Do not do to others what angers you if done to you by others. -Socrates

ARTPOPisaChoice 946
I think it's partly because of the economic situation of the time. The world economy was in recession, and TF offered a taste of Hollywood glamour to the GP. It made people feel fancy and was a light-hearted refreshment in a time of economic trouble. Also, it's a very well received pop album, something you don't usually see. Hands up to the sky 🌧 I’ll be your galaxy 🌌
high heeled fem 3
who care's? :excuseme: it's at the bottom of gaga's best work Yeah she used to have great makeup before Tara. no way she was all like dark orange and **** and tanned ....those eyelashes are horrendous she looks amazing now i thought u would think that since your avi is like pale and black hair and less make up and looking natural and wonderful
Mills 446
Being heavily supported by two massively successful singles (Just Dance and Poker Face) along with an intriguing branding of Gaga as the new pop star in the scene drove interest and afterwards sales for the Fame. She was fresh and somewhat unique - and so does her music at that time (and so does almost every debut album for a debuting artist from a major label). Antidote 95
Because she was a new artist and the album sound was so fresh. I also think that her outfits made her interesting and the young fans loved the fame theme
