YES :legend:

"Pluto" though  Seriously one of the best songs ever, it gets me so pumped up in such an odd manner.

Oh god i finally have a place to express my feeling about Bjork, not only she's one of the best voices in the world, she's the most talented producer! There is no other producer that i can see doing songs SO well produced and innovative

Favorite songs: Bachelorette, I've Seen It All, I Miss You and Play Dead (Best vocals here)

I have bought almost every album from her, except the remixes and i'm missing Vespertine and Selmasongs.

YES. "I Miss You" is so underrated, it's definitely one of my favorites. And you must get Vespertine.

Finally decided to watch my first Björk music video today, and I chose "Alarm Call".

UGH IT'S SUCH A COOL VIDEO  And it really made me like the song a lot more! I had never heard the mix used in the video either! It's great!!

Love her! I've got all her CD's. The studio albums, the Remix albums, Greatest Hits CD, Family Tree box set, Live Box, even the soundtrack for Drawing Restraint 9. I've got a bunch of bootleg's of her concert too. Mostly Biophilia shows.

Favorite song: I couldn't pick, so many of them are great.

Favorite Album: Definitely "Biophilia", it was my first Björk album and i really identified with its message.

I know i'm obsessed  :fan:

YAY A STAN :woot:

So just curious, for someone like me who's still focusing on her seven studio albums at the moment, what are other really important songs/albums? Like do you think Telegram is essential in a Björk collection? DR#9? Selmasongs?? B-Sides?? Unreleased???

Well it's up to you for most of them, you really don't need them because they don't go with the two story lines the studio albums tell. However you must have the single version of "All Is Full Of Love" and "It's In Our Hands" from Greatest Hits because they are essential to the way you listen to the seven albums in order. I think the important albums to have are definitely Selmasongs and Voltaic. Selmasongs has some amazing songs on there, and Voltaic is great as well because it has some older songs performed with the brass band used on Volta and the Volta tour.

The remix albums and DR9 are up to you, i personally enjoy them all, but not everyone does. Telegram has a song that was supposed to be on Post which is really nice, but the remixes are not for everyone. The Biophilia remix album, Bastards has some interesting remixes as well but again, may not be for everyone. DR9 is very tricky because it's not really a Bjork album, it's music she composed for the film by Matthew Barney. It's mostly instrumental music with very little singing. Most Bjork fans don't like it, but i find it very mystical and haunting.

I haven't heard many B-sides other than the ones on 'Family Tree' and couple of others. "Scary" is one i absolutely love, another you have to hear is,"Desired Constellation (Choir Mix)" it sounds amazing! An unreleased song you must have is "Trance". It was supposed to be on Volta but was cut and later used for the Showstudio tribute video for Alexander McQueen. It's a very powerful song and a little creepy too.

Wow that was a lot to type. sorry if it's to much to read   hope i helped, let me know if you have any questions.

If I were you I'd get Gling Glo, her 1990 jazz album. It's a total must.

As for b-sides, yes Trance is amazing. So sad it wasn't put on Volta.

Thanks! I really appreciate you typing all that up. In due time I'll definitely continue digging through her stuff. I've heard "Storm" from DR9 and I love it! I wish I could find a zip with all her b-sides in it or something

No prob.   "Storm" is so amazing right? "Bath", Ambergis March",and "Hunter Vessel" are some of my other faves on DR9. I'm waiting for Björk to release that Singles box set with all the rare remixes and b-sides on it. She's been saying she would do it for years but still hasn't done it.

Most fans agree that her worst is either Medúlla or Volta. Do you guys agree?

I wouldn't say they're her 'worst', i think it was mostly fans setting their expectations too high. For Medulla, many fans wondered how she was gonna top "Vespertine", which was and still is one of her most critically acclaimed albums released i think, and many felt A Cappella wasn't the way to go cause it was too experimental. And when Bjork said she wouldn't tour for Medulla to write for the next album... well you get the idea. Sometime's you shouldn't listen to fans cause they can be just as bad as critics, the decision is in your hands.

IMO, Bjork hasn't had a bad album yet. The only album i can think of that is lacking compared to the other albums is, "Debut".
