Coldplay 217
i dont really like the chorus, which is a bad start. i think it is very repetitive-predictable and the talking/spelling annoys me as well... the word retweet in a song makes it too contemporary, less timeless.... Scarlet Witch 1,624
Its the best song off ARTPOP, but then so is Marry The Night, but frankly, idk but I hope it does well.

Optimus 298
I really like the fact that G.U.Y is a single. It has that vibe and it could smash in Europe. Dont know about the USA. But for me the chorus is not strong enough. It amazing but not memorable. If the video is good, I can see it as a top 10-15 single
ShadesOfCool 1
G.U.Y. is a good choice. Can't imagine how the single cover will look
Nicole 1,809
I'm assuming it will do well at least in Australia bc Aussies are horny little ****s Seriously though, the song is amazing, it definitely has the potential to do well. Gagadonna 10,801
I think GUY has the potential of Poker face.
Emvee 8,349
It reminds me of Poker Face fused with Bad Romance (with an ARTPOP twist). The sledgehammer beats really recall RedOne's thumping production of Judas and Bad Romance with short, punchy spoken verses reminiscent of Poker Face. And like every good Gaga song there is an infectious, airy chorus that just soars with a great release from the tension of the verses. Also, Gaga's new take on s-xuality (more than just boy-girl infatuation) was a staple of her early hits. Poker Face and Bad Romance both offer smart, witty takes on romance, talking about s-xual dissatisfaction and self-destruction. G.U.Y. is another new take on s-x themes for pop music with quotable lyrics that beg closer consideration. She is back to being a masterful cutting edge pop chanteuse who mixes hard beats, infectious choruses, and clever feminist lyrics (possibly post-, or third wave, feminist here). Hail the queen. Bitch is back. At least they will talk. Applause and Do What U Want did not need to be discussed really. They were ear worms but evident ones. This single will raise all kinds of questions in true Gaga fashion. I have thought this about G.U.Y. since the beginning. :legend:
