"It's an album, not a collection of singles" - Really? Because I don't feel it fits when you put all the songs together.

I disagree. I've listened it to it thousands of times and I haven't gotten tired of it, and sonically the music tells a story.

Same for me. I stopped listening to ARTPOP ages ago. I got tired of the songs. There's some songs that never get boring like Applause.

For me, the songs that don't immediately sound amazing always will be my favourites, until today, I still often listen to BEYONCE cause the songs are different, they're unique.

Gaga worked so hard and put so much into this and everyone in this thread is already over it and ready for something else. Poor girl.

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, I just cant help but feel sad for Gaga...

I like the album and only started listening to the radio again so that I don't over play ARTPOP. Especially with the "fresh new start".

I will say that I think Gaga struggled with the concept. I think she knows what she wants ARTPOP to be, but can't explain and execute it. So the album is not as cohesive as her previous albums. Does that make sense?

I felt the same about BTW. It took me a while to get into more than a few songs. Eventually, I got to where I could enjoy about half of the songs on the deluxe version- so, about half of the songs. I just figured that I had an BTW EP and that was good enough for me! :)

 

 

ARTPOP was just the opposite! It was instant for me! There's only a couple of songs I ever skip and I'll probably end up liking those eventually.

 

Don't worry. Enjoy the songs you like, mix in a bunch of old ones and chances are the next era might be one you LOVE!

I understand your point about Born This Way. The message of that album was really powerful and it actually made me a Gaga fan. When I listen to it, I feel stronger, I feel like I'm worth it in a way... It's not the case with ARTPOP but it was not the goal of this album. I really love ARTPOP cause it's like a huge party, but yeah, BTW is more personal and relatable.
