Truth 90
No, 21 is a way better.
What 4
There really is no point in starting this thread other than shading Adele. Can't we just appreciate albums without saying it's better than... or...?
Quark 7,035
I didn't necessarily think about age when it comes to BTW's message. But half of the songs on BTW are not even about acceptance. It's all personal taste. I think BTW is a lot more creative than 21, but I found 21 easier to relate to since I'm not an insecure 14 year old.
EchoKey 2
You're comparing albums that are two totally different genres. You look stupid.
Doncho 27,241
Of course we like BTW more, we are Little Monsters
Quark 7,035
Is not that a simple song can't be good, is more of the fact that albums like 21 have always existed while an album like BTW is rare. By listening to the albums you can tell which album had more thoughts, ideas, creativity, and work put into it. And to me this is very important when it comes to music/art. I understand that everyone has a different taste, but I made this thread because many people think that awards or selling a lot immediately makes something better. If people like 21 more though, that that is ok, this is just my opinion. your pitting things against each other with the assumption one is greater than the other complexity vs. simplicity songs about love vs songs about everything else ....all that crap aside, i think the most thing people care about in music is poignancy, can they feel something (any feeling at all) from the music, and if they do how intense does it make them feel a simple song can be as great as a complex song love songs are just as important as songs about other subjects...i mean how can you make it appear as love is not important, when it's one of the number one things people want in this live( to love and be loved ya know) but a song without feeling, or one that does not evoke emotions is ineffably less great than a song with feeling, or that does evoke emotions and i didnt see the other thread, but come on lets try not to pit artists together as if art can be compared like this.. both are great albums, theyre just different Music is music regardless of its genres. You're comparing albums that are two totally different genres. You look stupid.
EchoKey 2
Music is music regardless of its genres. Is that the excuse we're using now in order to shade other artists? Tbh, that's like comparing bread and apples. Food is food regardless of it's placement on the pyramid.
Quark 7,035
How is this a shade? Is that the excuse we're using now in order to shade other artists?
EchoKey 2
How is this a shade? For real? :excuseme: What was the point of this thread then?
uo111 5,246
And oranges are better than apples. Apples are a good fruit, with general texture and so much fiber that you will be regular for days. But let's be honest, Oranges really took it to the next level. Oranges come with their own disposable carrying case that are ALSO edible(so groundbreaking). And the plump juicy individual slices really take the cake, it was the first fruit to do that and everyone is copying oranges.
RAMROD 103,621
Each are best albums of 2011. Each have its own perspectives from respective the singers. Just because BTW is not singing conventional, doesn't meant it is not good. And vice versa, just because 21 is a bunch of slow music, doesn't mean it is boring. Each are relatable in its own way. And that what's makes an album matter and memorable.

Quark 7,035
Honestly, I am just pointing out how popularity and awards does not necessarily mean an album is better than other. I understand people have different tastes, but some people base their ideas out of how popular something is. For real? :excuseme: What was the point of this thread then?
