Battle 4 Ur Life 6,461
Y'all trusting this? I just can't.....this is bulls* to me...all I hear lately are excuses from her and this fanbase...so, yeah, I'm not buying this at all... I'm going to bed pressed about this f* grammy's s* and I'm tired of thinking about Gaga and her career. It's only making me depressed lately.... Tonight I could see, hear and taste the decay...so yeah, it's in fact the main theme of this era goodnight. :emo: :emo: :emo: Smash With a Smile
tokyodisko 0
No offense but Miley can't sing well at all You might not like the type of music she does or what her voice is suited for, but she can sing very well. Don't take away credit where it is due, just because you might not like the way her voice sounds. I don't like it either, but she can and does belt her heart out. It's unique and not for everyone, but she can sing. Some people say the same thing about Gaga. They just don't like her voice, but they'll admit she has pipes. Omegahedron 165
This was loading for me before: http://www.propagaga.com/2014/01/26/read-original-case-study-lady-gagas-2013-vma-performance/ What's REALLY interesting is that the Baby Eater painting is included in the reference images, which leads me to believe that the painting she did that she posted on LM.com was, in fact, inspired by that painting Yeah I saw that too! Very cool!
nomorescheisse 0
Honestly this whole situation has both angered, confused, and....surprisingly left me a little comforted. I don't know why I was losing faith. I guess this era keeps underwhelming? But I literally was at the straight most male infused party the other night with my girlfriend and I heard some guys that work at a local trucking company play "Venus" and "Donatella". wtf right? seeing that, and then this has given me faith that it isn't really over. I feel like I, along with many others, should not put so much blame on Gaga. We all as a group have doubted her alot lately. When I saw these images of what the VMAs were supposed to be like.....I felt Gaga shine through in a way I hadn't felt for a long time. Its almost been like we have been getting a watered down Gaga this era and now the facts are in front of us.. we now know WHAT is going on....basically there really are alot of greedy, selfish bastards that really are trying to take her down....and as bizarre and unbelievable as that sounds....we have evidence that that is happening now. we're not going to be able to change the minds of MTV by tweeting this **** out. those music industry types aren't going to change their minds.....what we can do.....is continue to support Gaga. We need a reboot to our energy in the community. I mean....as much as I respect other artists.....and this isn't trying to tear them down.....if we really favor Gaga and her message....are we really going to let the following happen? -Miley Cyrus blindside Gaga over "twerking" at the VMAs, taking the spotlight? -Demi Lovato winning Biggest Fans at the PCAwards (Lord knows that ain't true, no shade)? -Let Perez Hilton continue to banter his pathetic lies on national television? -Let media outlets in general continue to harass Gaga and say she is over? -Let people in general misjudge her character based on their shallow idea of her? -and MOST importantly....let other people within the little monster community make asses out of themselves by shading people? If there is one thing Gaga is....its that she is a leader. And its damn time that we leave the ****ty vacation hotel we're at called "Motel UnConfident" and show these basic haters who the strongest fanbase is on this planet. We are leaders too. Gaga's message of "Born This Way" and "ARTPOP" are our messages, too....and we need to stop misjudging Gaga and show we are truly the biggest, best, strongest, and loving fans on the planet. After a while, they'll get the message. And all the naysayers can drift away into the past. This is amazing, and made me so happy and comfortable. Your post is inspiring. Thank you! Raikov 183
You might not like the type of music she does or what her voice is suited for, but she can sing very well. Don't take away credit where it is due, just because you might not like the way her voice sounds. I don't like it either, but she can and does belt her heart out. It's unique and not for everyone, but she can sing. Some people say the same thing about Gaga. They just don't like her voice, but they'll admit she has pipes. Being able to belt does not a good singer make. In addition, her upper register belting sounds very forced, nearly to the point of screaming (the "yeah yeah yeah ye eh" in the studio version of "We Can't Stop" is painful). Her range isn't exceptional, although a good singer makes the best out of his or her range and succeeds there. Her live singing has not impressed me. I will say her unique voice sets her apart - when you hear a Miley song, you know it's a Miley song. I think she does a pretty good job on WCS (except for that final yeah part) and Wrecking Ball, and I enjoyed her Hannah Montana stuff and pre-Bangerz albums. Nevertheless, I would never say she "sings very well." She sings acceptably. I think if she got a better voice coach, she could probably become a much better singer. And before you pull Gaga in, I will say I don't think Gaga is exceptional either. I do think that within pop music, Gaga is an above average singer. Seeing her live performances, I'm amazed at the control she can exhibit (2009 VMAs, she manages to sound better than on the studio version). Her voice is clear and she has a pleasant vibrato when she actually lets it show. Her range won't go down in a book of records, but it is better than the average pop star's. She does push her limits, which isn't always good ("and don't STAWP the party" always makes me cringe because she cannot hit that note reliably live). I wouldn't consider her for any awards, even though I do like her voice (same with Lana. Love her voice, but her technique leaves a lot to be desired). I would have liked to see this original performance. It sounds more interesting than the dance routine we got. The introduction and the allusions to TF and TFM were cool, but the performance isn't very memorable. I am curious as to how it would have been executed. I imagine that MTV probably wanted to prevent anyone from stealing the show from Miley and that might have played a role, but as I've learned from this I can't be too sure of that. I wonder what other ideas Gaga has had that were shot down. DWUW video is a contender, Venus as a single, but might there be anything else...? CookieHWilson 559
They do this on purpose. Every year they choose an artist to overhype, and then shun them. THAT'S HOW IT WORKS. oops. shouted nonsequitur

This MTV situation is the real evidence about this "censored and bubblegum Gaga" that we have received in this era. We need to be strong and support her like the old times (TF and TFM eras) so we can still receive quality music and quality perfirmances from her.
