Well no, Troy and Nicola were good friends with Gaga. Nicola and Gaga are still friends and he wasn't fired, just moved on to do his own projects. People don't understand that the reason their assistants are able to take their places is because their assistants were the ones who did the work to begin with. They're the ones who did the dirty work and are capable of taking over. Gaga wouldn't hire them if they weren't the ones responsible for most of the stuff anyways.

After her other two in-haus replacements (Nicola/Brandon, Gibson/Jackson) her fashion and choreo declined so I'm not overly optimistic about Bobby. I was hoping the replacement would be an outsider to shake things up and revitalise the haus - a flower won't flourish if it has sat in the same worn-out soil for many years.

You have a point but now's not the time to Shake-n-Bake, especially when there's not much to. Also I'm sure they put out word to the industry that Gaga needed one, might be heartbreaking to think that not many that took up the application had what it took.
