Ty3009 232
maybe the commercial album was complete around the blackout and the experimental one is still in development... It seems like it would be the other way around.
AyaKara 2,281
I'm hoping that the commercial album is called ART and the experimental album is called POP, to really reflect the inverting pop art theme and it would be a statement in and of itself, you know? that pop music is art, and that experimental music can be pop.
Arturo 40,746
I'm hoping that the commercial album is called ART and the experimental album is called POP, to really reflect the inverting pop art theme and it would be a statement in and of itself, you know? that pop music is art, and that experimental music can be pop. That's a great idea, with a bold statement! ARTPOP Volume I: ART ARTPOP Volume 2: POP

DirtyPony 9
I'm hoping that the commercial album is called ART and the experimental album is called POP, to really reflect the inverting pop art theme and it would be a statement in and of itself, you know? that pop music is art, and that experimental music can be pop. It's ARTPOP VOL. 1 and ARTPOP VOL. 2 One album doesn't mean 'ART' and one album doesn't mean 'POP'. It's ARTPOP. Just because it's two volumes doesn't mean it's two different albums. They are different musically, but other than that it's the same. You people are looking at ARTPOP as two different albums already. When in reality it counts as one. It's a whole project just put into two parts. As time continues on she'll release them together. So, when we have ARTPOP VOL. 1 I don't want to hear anything negative because we won't even have the whole album yet. In all honesty I wish she would release a 2 DISC set with both volumes so we could have the album in it's entirety.
Hexxx 2,244
i can only imagine what the album cover will be like Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
Urban 9
I'm hoping that the commercial album is called ART and the experimental album is called POP, to really reflect the inverting pop art theme and it would be a statement in and of itself, you know? that pop music is art, and that experimental music can be pop. I love the idea, but didn't Gaga say she wants to bring ART and POP together?
Mills 446
I'm hoping that the commercial album is called ART and the experimental album is called POP, to really reflect the inverting pop art theme and it would be a statement in and of itself, you know? that pop music is art, and that experimental music can be pop. Not only that would be genuinely amazing with the spotlight on the parallelism of ART and POP (and I love that), but also it would somehow impel the general public to be fascinated with the whole idea of ARTPOP in general. The whole project could most likely be an eye-opener in some degree of what's really ART and what's POP for the public. Very interesting to be quite honest. Great post. :fan:
toanythingtaboo 5
The Pet Shop Boys already did the separate Pop and Art discs with their Pop Art greatest hits album. She'll probably get ripped into if she did that, especially combined with the Biophilla stuff.
