That' s what I think and it' s not to be mean or anything. I don t buy that it takes time to come up with great music. Ask many of the eople who made the best songs of all time, they were written in minutes. Either inspirations comes or it does not...pretty simple. You can claim to write 1000 songs but if none are good, it defeats the purpose

When Gaga releases the single, she's going to be giving us a whirlwind of outfits and a video and press.  Let her give us the best set-up possible.

all i know is we've waited almost two years for new music, shes written 50 songs and that was months ago, who knows if she wrote even more, i want a giant fat bulk of work. i dont want one basic edition with 12 songs on it, i cant even fathom how bad that would feel to know thats all we got, and yeah you guys can jump up to wine "meh but thats what the app is for, roieorhe blah blah" well, im pretty sure she cant release such a big bulk of music on the app at a time, and i want a lot going into the physical copy of it so that it can feel like a real classic.

Why people would be against 2 volumes is bizarre.

She did it with TFM. The Fame was volume 1 and Monster was volume 2.

If Born This Way had been 2 volumes with the 2nd released in April 2012 then there would be so much less tension in this fanbase.

In addition to supplying the demand from fans, it solves a marketing problem in that people won't own all tracks from the campaign because half aren't released yet. This means the campaign can draw out longer with fresh hype.

The btwb would have had fresh new tracks too. it wouldn't have been for an old album.

There are no negatives.

Putting 2 discs in one case and releasing them at the same time is a waste of money. There's literally no point other than putting out so much material at once you waste many many chances to strike with a hit single because when the time comes, the songs are old.

It's all about supplying new material more frequently.

I'm just hoping for spaced out singles, no more month and a half/2 months for a single. 

 

1st Single in August 

2nd single maybe end of October 

3rd single beginning of February 

4th single beginning of may

 

Now that i look at it i can't believe all of born this ways 5 singles were released all in the same year..  

I hate when artists don't let singles bloom and peak. They just throw one in the mix after another. I think they need to allow each single its own mini-era. That way an album's popularity can last longer. I mean if Gaga even released one more single from Born This Way the album could have done better in some way. Scheiße might have been an option, but I think Electric Chapel would have been the best bet. Personal opinion though.

I think you're sort of missing the point about the volumes though. They are trying to say that the second volume IS a new album, just like Monster is a new album (in ep format). The only reason why it's not looked at that way is because Interscope repackaged the album in the U.S. I do agree that two cds of Born This Way was kind of overkill, but then again lots of the material on Born This Way weren't really single material so it's not like all of those songs went to waste either. We also have to keep in mind that the APP is going to play a big part in how they release the music, so we may have a second volume for free via the app. I have no idea, I don't think any of us do.
