The good thing is knowing it's in the near future with everything kind of pointing towards mid to end of summer. I think the blackout is kind of genius; to me the promotion of Born This Way portrayed it as THE Gaga album. It was so talked about and anticipated and I remember reading that she thought it could have 8 or 9 singles. Even though it wasn't the best executed era after all of that, to me it's been very hard to think of a new Gaga album or to try and disconnect her from the Born This Way era, because despite the negative perception of it's success (even though it was actually mighty successful) to me Gaga really cemented herself as a unique, polarising and interesting pop star with that era because of how controversial everything seemed to be. It felt like Born This Way was all consuming and it was hard to imagine that she could ever do something else. BUT now with the blackout it's like a fresh start. It feels to me like she's bubbling under waiting to expolde again; the snippets of info and the occasional sightings we're getting are so tantalising! Maybe the so called "general public" are not getting excited about snippets from the Versace show and things like that but it's certainly VERY quiet in the pop world at the moment and as soon as she comes back I feel like people will realise that she has been what's missing. In my wildest dreams, once she return the people who hated her during Born This Way will feel that even if they don't like her music etc. she is certainly an intriguing figure and appreciate her for that, because it annoys me when her talents go unappreciated. So I don't know how I'd feel about a tweet tomorrow, she certainly doesn't owe us anything in my opinion. It would be nice to hear from her and of course I will be extremely excited if anything ARTPOP get's announced, not that I think it wil, but it might be best to just leave BTW alone now. The blackout has sort of been like a refresh button, people are still aware of her and her past achievements but it's now a clean slate of sorts. I have every faith in her for this next album; listening back to all her music so far and some of the AMAZING lyrics she has written, the catchy hooks, the music videos etc. she really creates incredible things. What is brilliant is that to me all of her music has been somewhat ahead of itself and something new at the time it was released and yet it has done phenomenally well. I think some people get worried when they hear that she says ARTPOP will be very risky, ahead of itself or like something from 2050 but that is exactly how I've always perceived her music: a bit of a risk. To be honest a lot of the time I haven't always liked the songs the very first time I hear them but that just proves that she's making something new and challenging, all of a sudden they get stuck in your head and they take over the world! So like I said I have every faith in her, I want her to make something risky and different because it proves her talent and when she releases new material it's always shown she's miles ahead of everyone! They think they're catching up when she steps out of the light for a bit, but when she comes back they'll be breaking their necks turning their heads to see how much she's overtaken them. I can deal with the blackout and the wait because I know ARTPOP will be amazing: she just doesn't dissapoint, whether I've liked everything she's done or not she has always provoked a genuine reaction to her work. She's still being said to be the current Queen of pop even though she's been very quiet for a while now and all of her peers have had the spotlight. The future's uncertain and the end is always near. Like other people already said, this is not just an album, it's a project, so there might be way more stuff that she needs to get ready before the release. She promised one video for EVERY song and also an app with lots of features, so I wouldn't be surprised if it had a 2014 release date. 2013 is kinda early for it IF she manages to do all she promised.
