No, but seriously, no album is a 2-year album. It has nothing to do with the quality of the album, but it has everything to do with the hype that has been building up in the fanbase and the immediate feeling of relief (at the time of the release) that results in an immediate craving for new material. It's normal.

 

OMG the thurst for ARTPOP is 10x bigger than what it was for BTW. This means we're gonna consume the album in weeks lol. And then come back here and start posting on "NEXT ALBUM discussion & information database" thread

the thing i'm pretty worried about now is that justin timberlake is releasing the 20/20 experience part 2 and going on tour around the time that gaga's going to be making her return 

i don't want a repeat of adele's complete overshadowing of all things gaga (e.g. 2011) which is why it's SO important that gaga brings something new to the scene 

i have faith   but i just want gaga to have her time to shine again

It's super sad that the single's not ready yet because there is NOTHING good on the radio anymore. When Fallout Boy is in the top 20, you know it's wide open. Gaga would slaaaaaaaay.

 Timberlake's return hasn't actually been that successful though and he has no where near the same impact as Adele.

oh yeah he's definitely not on adele's scale, but the media seem to love him and his music is great for the grammys 

i think gaga just needs to get the media on her side and the GP interested again and she'll be fine

I think it's kind of already too late, al lot of artists are starting to release their first singles from their summer albums right now, J Lo just released her newest RedOne generic party jam that's probably sure to be a success and I can imagine a lot more artists will follow suit soon.

Regarding Schiesse; I played it yesterday in my car, and my friend, who is not a Lady Gaga fan in anyway, was blown away by it. He was like "wtf is this Lady Gaga? I actually like this. I could imagine dancing to this at a club on molly." The German part is what went over the best with him. So idk why people say the GP wouldn't like the German... its like the rah rahs in BR except a totally original concept. We need some "Ich schlieben austa be clair" and a little less "Juda ah ah"

I think whatever time gaga releases something, would be good, as long as it's before the grammy deadline. Katy Perry, Rihanna, and all those of the same ilk haven't been in as much of a blackout as gaga in my opinion, so people will be like "ohhh look it's another Rihanna single" whereas when gaga puts out a new single it's sure to smash, as the GP haven't had anything new from her in years. That is as long as the 1st single's lyrics aren't preachy.
