BigDreamer 82
this this this i'd be very surprised if she carried on with the themes or sounds of born this way. i think it was a great album for her to make and i think she'll always continue with her anti-bullying work through charity and by bringing it up in her shows, but the music will most likely take a different direction from now on. of course it's all speculation and ARTPOP could very well be her youth empowerment album pt. 2 I remember her saying in a littlemonsters chat (back when she actually was active on the site) that ARTPOP would be very very different from BTW ,that musicly and thematically it wouldnt be anything like the album, but that the message and the connection that was brought to the fan base would still be a part of her whole life and music. Yes! And it makes sense because the overarching theme of BTW was "liberation" which was a theme in all of her past works as well (Alejandro was partly about gay love, Dance In The Dark was about acknowledging the pain of not loving one's own body, Poker Face was about bis-xuality, et al...) so naturally that will be a theme in her future works, albeit not as prevalent as it was in BTW. I'm so excited to see what she comes up with for ARTPOP, what social issues she addresses, how she writes about love, fame, and relationships. No other popstar's songwriting (if they even write their own music) is as relatable yet nuanced as Gaga's. Reigning Queen of Pop tbh Also, I'm starting to think that Dave Russell might be the producer of the lead single since he's the most vocal about it. He seems very invested in it. Dave Russell delivering the gay twerk anthem of the century tbh

Dave Russell delivering the gay twerk anthem of the century tbh yoooooo neeew yooooork! haha but seriously, I alway look forward to trying to understand a deeper meaning and message to most of her songs. They help you understand, hear, and connect to a song differently. A song that lasts for most people is one that they can relate to. Though she doesnt make most of her metaphors obvious, she still makes me want to see the story she is telling with each song. I think we will recieve a few songs at least that address social issues and body image, that arent as obvious as Hair but maybe references to the big fiasco about her weight gain or the struggle with having to stay super thin or extremely fit. Burqa is one example that is a direct representation of her using her music to address certain issues. I just hope that even though the supposed title is pretty forward, that its better received than Judas and people give it a chance and listen to it despite passing judgement just off of a title. I just hope that even though the supposed title is pretty forward, that its better received than Judas and people give it a chance and listen to it despite passing judgement just off of a title. Yeah exactly. I love how her songs usually have two "meanings." the first is very obvious and usually frivolous but the second is more insightful and revealing. Like with "Paparazzi" the obvious interpretation is that she is comparing her persistence in a relationship to a paparazzi ("I'll follow you until you love me" / "Baby there's no other") but the second meaning is a criticism of the nature of fame and how it's constructive/destructive at the same time. "Telephone" is the same: at first glance it's about a girl being annoyed at her boyfriend who won't "stop calling" but the deeper meaning is about Gaga's obsessive work-ethic. My main problem with BTW is that most songs were obvious in their meanings (like Hair) and they weren't very deep. Who knows if Burqa will even address a certain issue? I honestly don't think it will be "received" at all since I don't think she would ever choose a divisive, religious-themed song as a single again... I'm interested to see if any of the songs we know about will become singles though. I agree that people should have given Judas a chance though it was such a jam. I don't think the religious theme was the only reason it flopped though.

Introvert 0
i already posted this in a status but if she does anything urban tinged on ARTPOP i really want it to be chilled the **** out like this peaches song sleek and subtle. and its not too urban to the point that shed embarrasses herself because i dont think she can actually pull off something blatantly trying to be uban (i.e. cake) Edited April 12, 2013 by Introvert

NathanC 938
I honestly think 2012 will have one or two more BTW singles, the tour, and the recording process. If the album does come out this year, it won't be until Christmas time. Just my opinion. Get ready for ARTPOP We're ready
