But the 2nd volume may have contrasted as TFM did in comparison to TF.

The only similarity is a loose theme and the album title. They ARE 2 separate albums.

If BTW had been:

Vol 1.

Born This Way - Pre album Single

Judas - Single

Bloody Mary

Bad Kids

Highway Unicorn

Electric Chapel - Single

Government Hooker

Vol 2.

Marry The Night - Pre album Single

Americano

Hair

Black Jesus Amen Fashion

Scheiße - Single

You & I

Heavy Metal Lover - Pre album Single

The Queen

The Edge of Glory - Single

It would have made the tour less dated, the singles would have performed better because we hadn't owned them all already, it would have drawn out the era to be less rapidfire. win win.

But we've seen that it works already with TFM lol

Um...I dunno

I think it largely depends on the chart performance of the first volume

I actually still prefer ARTPOP as one album

It seems the concept of two volumes separates the album and divide ARTPOP clearly into ART and POP

It reminds me when Beyonce released Sasha Fierce in two CDs (Sasha and Fierce), the music critics thought it is unwise to divide it and makes the album inconsistent

My English is bad hope you get what I mean

I just think the promo plan, the concept of the album..seems incomplete if it is separated

It is hard to incorporate one concept (ARTPOP) into two separate CDs

Imagine if the two volumes are to be named ART and POP respectively and burqa is in ART, TEA is in POP

In a TV show, the host says "Gaga is going to perform her hit single Burqa from ART of ARTPOP and TEA from POP of ARTPOP"

  :haha: Maybe I think too much

Why people would be against 2 volumes is bizarre.

She did it with TFM. The Fame was volume 1 and Monster was volume 2.

Very incorrect. The Fame Monster is considered an album on it's own. It gets grouped into The Fame because the deluxe edition had the entire "The Fame" album on it, and therefore added to it's sales. But they are completely separate entities recorded at separate times and worked on by completely different people.

I think it's safe to assume there won't be two volumes. If Gaga had that much material ready to go for this year, there is no way we would be entirely in the dark. There is no credence to this besides Helen's art, which means nothing.

I don't think it is a bad idea, but it just won't happen.

TFM is a separate album, so no. Related themes, but separate bodies of work

The only reason for ARTPOP in two volumes is a commercial one.. It's smart, but so annoying, honestly.

I highly doubt she would separate it into commercial and non commercial. The 2nd would struggle.

If she had named it "The fame volume 2: The Fame Monster" Would it be any different? No. But she kind of did, like books, "The girl with ____" Trilogy, they all started the same and were parts of a set, however, they were also their own bodies of work. Just like TFM.

I'm keen to have two "volumes" but why not just two discs in one case? She could have a double-sided album with two "front" faces? That way it doesn't matter if nobody wants to buy the ART side (if that even happens) because it's bolted onto the POP side  :omfgaga:
