A lot of discussion was taking place as for art references and I got kind of carried away, haha. I mean, I'm all up for Gaga doing something completely out-of-left-field (BTW's strange love references to 70's/80's rock album covers) or even something completely new. But, and I know a lot of people are gonna shoot me down for this, I do not want to see any sort of pop-art on the cover. I don't mind Warholian references at all (sshhh I'm even up for the return of Candy Warhol), but I'd rather have the cover convey a sense of raw emotion and subtle intellectuality (imo shown in the works I posted above). Again, I feel like it might not fit in with (what I assume to be) ARTPOP's 'fun, irresponsible' themes. omg i'd love to see something like this but with gaga wearing a burqa Reminds me of all the OBEY swaggy trends going on right now.
