The VMA's are on the 25th of August in New York City. I personally think it's a perfect plan to perform her new single at that time. AUGUST has 6 letters and so does ARTPOP. Maybe I'm reaching, but she did give us the album title last August as well. I aslo feel as if we may get info sooner than August saying that ARTPOP the album will be released in the same month. She should have the single released August 4th and the album released two days after her VMA performance. SINGLE - TUESDAY AUGUST 4, 2013 VMA PERFORMANCE - SUNDAY AUGUST 25, 2013 ALBUM - TUESDAY AUGUST 27, 2013 I feel like this would give ARTPOP plenty of promotional time between the single date and the album date. I was thinking back to 2009 and 'Bad Romance' was released on October 26, 2009 and 'The Fame Monster' was released on November 18, 2009. With a single like 'Bad Romance' it gave great promotion to 'The Fame Monster' album in that period of time. TFM had great promo and was put together very well single wise and album wise. Not overdone. Not underdone. Perfect. TFM had great promotional success behind it. I hope ARTPOP is done in the same way. I agree that the VMAs will be part of promotion of the album, if nothing else, I think we will at least have the single and some dates by then. I don't think she will skip the vmas two years in a row and let that promotion go to waste when she's supposed to be releasing an album this year. All eyes will be on her. On-topic: I like the idea of DirtyPony, but am I the only one who feels like promoting the lead single at the VMA's would be.. I don't know, like, awkward? Not even sure why I'm saying this, but I feel like ARTPOP is going to be such a musical/visual change, I think it's wiser to promote it with a music video and afterwards perform it, so people are already used to it and can enjoy the performance itself. I don't know.. Of course I'd be happy with any performance of Gaga, but I don't think it'll be the VMA's unless it's something special, like a collaboration or something. Also, i don't see GaGa going that event unless she's nominated for an award which would be near impossible due to no new material.... We're getting something either sometime before or after...
