If she didn't have the hip problem, do you think we would have the lead single by now?

There is an interesting article over at The Verge featuring Troy Carter (Gaga's manager).

He is talking about the relevance of CDs despite things moving towards a digital distribution method. Regarding album apps (probably talking about ARTPOP), he says  "These applications are going to cost more than the actual album to do... it'll take a while to get there." The article goes on to say "Carter is hopeful that Lady Gaga's app  specifically, the infrastructure behind it  will help pave the way for smaller musicians to augment their albums."

Perhaps the reason for the delay is that the app is taking more time/money than they had expected. It's surprising to me that the app is costing more to produce than the album.

Could the last Helen drawing be a hint at ARTPOP's imagery? :nooo:

I do believe that Helen's art will be highly incorporated in the ARTPOP era. Whether it's with the album cover, app images, merch, I dunno. But somehow.

It could be, or she's just being creative, or she's inspired by The Queen... "The killer queen inside of me is coming to say hello."

I would love for these drawings to be used in the album booklet or something along those lines.  :worship:

Forrest Gump

PropaGaga: She said she knows what we want; and that’s fun, dirty, dance music, and there’s no shortage of it on ARTPOP.

Bad luck to you then. I feel your too caught up in art without the pop. Maybe ARTPOP can be a learning experience for you. Gaga has said before that she makes dance music because of it's cultural pervasiveness. I mean if you want to experience something so artsy, I find it ironic that you listen to a commercial pop star like Gaga, maybe you could listen to Pink Floyd or some underground indie folk.

There's a type of fan that understands and a--lyses music with obvious complexity - for example like Bloody Mary on a religious level - and that's one level of intelligence.

But to experience pop culture as a communal experience with your friend, as dance music that is liberating at the clubs and as a global community is what Gaga started off doing and what she intends to do.

If you can't experience it this way with your friends and the way it interacts with culture, I guess you can't understand the frivolousness of her art. She's a pop artist afterall.

this was what i was trying to say in that thread about "people getting paid to hate gaga"

she might reference a lot of artsy stuff but her music is still mainstream pop for the masses. and when other artists say her music isn't that genuine it's not hating on her, it's how they view her music not being deep or artistic when she references salvador dali and david bowie is her videos.

but she's doing what andy warhol did, bringing art to the mainstream public even if it means making radio friendly singles and i get that. the music is just another side dish to her gaga image and movement.

Praying RedOne is on the album    Seeing all the posts about Judas' birthday makes me remember how much I love his work with gaga.
