EdgeOfGlory77 11 Posted April 14, 2013 Share Posted April 14, 2013 I just can't wait for interviews with her where she talks about the making of this record. it'll be like a revealing of EVERYTHING we've been wondering about the last 6 months. was it delayed because of her injury? did they scrap/re-produce a bunch of tracks? did the theme change? exactly who produced what? why the blackout (we kind of know this one)? did they push the release date back ever? so excited for her to be like "so monsters, THIS is what happened..." Just look at the top 10 on Itunes; most of the songs on there are slower songs. i feel like edm is still whats popular, but the slower songs are what people will buy, just to feel superior and act like they care about deep music. edm is what is getting the attention, but slow songs are whats selling. aaronyoji 2,054 Posted April 14, 2013 Share Posted April 14, 2013 i think since then the entire album concept has changed tbh i dont think so. everyone keeps saying that, but according to her sound engineer the single has been chosen since last summer. i think the theme changed when she started touring, which is why when she wrote princess die in november and played it for Vmagazine, she stated that it doesnt fit the rest of the album when she premiered later that summer at the btwball. it went from princess die-the applause type stuff, then grew over spring when she started touring into the more happy stuff. If she's "depressed" over a hip injury, that'd be pathetic IMO. There are plenty of people in this world with much worse problems. I'm sure she's just taking some time off. Whether or not your life is hard or whether or not you have tons of money doesn't mean she can't be depressed. It's not like there has to be a horrible horrible situation which causes her to be depressed. She had to suddenly cancel shows and I feel like she was planning something big and her creativity flow seems to be what gets her going. Even in the wheelchair she looked fine for a while but now she looks sad every time she's out and she's not talking to fans much and she doesn't seem as excited with her outfits. Also when her health was at risk her fans were pressuring her to pump out new album material then her grandfather died. Her life isn't the easiest but whether or not it's the "easy" is irrelevant if she's depressed. Some people are secure for their life from a young age but can still be unhappy.
