My opinion is that music critics are not that important. They are not the ones who the music is for, the music is not created for them.

So, when Gaga references Greek classical art in her BTW video, do you think that's for the 15-yeard old GGD fans too? :rip:

Music critics are not definite in any sense, but calling TFM flaw-free is a dangerous statement when you don't call it your opinion. That's all :laughga:

That's not how the real music critics described it

It's hands-down her best-received album critically. I don't even see how you can argue with that... it's not even an opinion at this point, it's a cold, hard fact.

In addition to it being the near-unanimous fan-favorite, two of the most obvious music-review-aggregator sites gave TFM the highest score out of all of Gaga's works (as well as countless other highly-esteemed critics)

http://www.metacritic.com/person/lady-gaga

http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/13823-the-fame-monster/

You're obviously entitled to your (perfectly valid) personal opinion about the quality of the album, though! The critics just don't agree with you.

In my opinion, and according to Gaga's description of hardcore glam, I think a part of ARTPOP will sound like Luv You Sum, if not all of it

These are the types of posts I like to see

"Luv U Sum" is clearly Gaga's unreleased masterpiece

My opinion is that music critics are not that important. They are not the ones who the music is for, the music is not created for them.

But they're critics for a reason? They're trained to see the quality in music beyond "oh this is catchy" or "oh this sounds good"

You didn't read my post too well. I was replying to someone who said that TFM was "flaw-free". Now, TFM might have had the best reviews of Gaga's discography so far, but that doesn't mean everyone said it's genius and better than any album in the history of music as some fans choose to believe :laughga:

This statement is only subjective opinion, not objective fact like  geometrical form of Earth.

I guess I misunderstood your post! It goes without saying that no work of art is without imperfection. The person who said that TFM was "flaw-free" was clearly being hyperbolic.

The Fame Monster had some hits, but not, in any way, is it my favorite record from her... Born This Way and The Fame had more soul and a stronger vibe to them... I think that ARTPOP will bring that same energy back, though more The Fame-ish. Wow, I've heard so many "leaked" instrumentals that I feel like I've heard ARTPOP already. :P

Percentage of hits (according to me):

THE FAME - 42.85%

THE FAME MONSTER - 75 %

BORN THIS WAY - 35.29 %

I'm talking about the commercial-success chance of the songs in those albums, not the songs I like the most.

TFM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Everything and thou shalt all bow down and ****ing deal.
