Prometheus 1,494
Deep meanings doesn't mean better though. Like I said before, Just Dance and Judas for example are both intelligently written. And tbh The Fame did have deeper meanings, it just flew over people's heads (at least some people). Gaga is always an intelligent writer whether it be a serious subject matter or a more fun subject matter. I think we're both on the same page here, but our messages are getting a tad lost. I agree that they are both intelligently written and I know The Fame is filled with deep meanings, I just think that her making a song LIKE Just Dance or LoveGame WON'T tarnish her true artistry or intelligence, because it won't be like most other songs in that field. Ugh my ramblings suck lol No Monsters where I live either. Going to the BTW Ball alone unless I can come up with some $ for my sister to come with. I couldn't even go :taylor: my parents wouldn't let me.
Dylangaga 216
MTE! I know that I'm going to love it, love everything that Gaga does, and I am loving the anticipation and little hints. I love the build up! I just can't understand people complaining about the album that they have not even heard! Btw, what song do you think might be the sequel to the Telephone MV? Hmmm good question...I have a feeling it's a song we won't find out the name to until we get the track list! Oh, and after hearing for so long about "Gaga is too heavy, I don't like her hair, I don't like her eyebrows," I kind of hope the album cover is of her with a unibrow (as someone said on twitter), wearing a fat suit, and totally bald. Then she can be like, "Ok. From now on, if you complain, this is what you get." Don't get me wrong, we're all entitled to our opinions, but it's getting tiresome after so many months of people arguing over this stuff with no new music to enjoy. Omg I would die in laughter like that Frieda lady painting!!!

Isn't that what happened with Born This Way? I remember her tweeting the lyrics to The Queen and a few other songs but I thought they were all non-singles. Why not save the best for last I suppose? I love all sides to Gaga, and as I said before whether she does a fun subject matter or a more serious subject matter it's always intelligently written and has many many layers/meanings to it as well. And I (personally) dont want ARTPOP to sound like any of her other albums (which we already know it won't as she's stated). I love that each album/era is brand new/different and yet feels like a natural next step/progression. So sorry you can't go. That really sucks! Start saving for the ARTPOP Ball ASAP! Born Brave 2,072
Now she just needs to take a picture of it on her iPhone for texture. Beyond the complaining, I think we (as monsters in general) tend to over think Gaga's career and plan it for her. People have been arguing on here for months over what kind of songs Gaga needs to have on her album and how it needs to be released, not for their personal preference, but for her career. Gaga asked us a few months ago to let go and just trust her. I wish we could all just do that. It's fun to speculate, but the bickering over "she needs to be commercial" vs "no, none of that basic stuff" is so pointless. THIS. I mean at the end of the day she's gonna do what she wants to do.. And I am willing to bet they we will either love it or hate it but it really doesn't matter what we think.. if whoever doesn't like it they can stan for someone else.. Its. simple as that really
Born Brave 2,072
Can't we just love all of Gaga's album instead of declaring one basic or one too preachy or what not?? I mean I love all of her albums. The Fame was my party animal album- it made me arrogant and made me feel s-xy and famous and that I could date whoever.. The Fame Monster was my breakup album and my dark point in my life moment where i was bitter and hated everything because of my bitterness Born This Way was a rebirth for me and I learned to let go of everything and start to heal and love again. My clean slate basically All 3 have important qualities that I have embedded in my soul.. I don't look for basic or preachy.. I look for what resonates inside of my heart and all 3 have ways of doing that and I'm sure ARTPOP will too but I don't know what way yet.

For me, her albums were; The Fame - My foray into the Gay community once I'd kinda worked out that I liked boys, and it made me happy. The Fame Monster - My dark point, where all I wanted to do was dance and have wild fantasies about boys (Monster) and other stuff, without giving a s*it about anyone or anything else. Also when I had depression. Born This Way - Acceptance. I learned to let go of the hate and just love again. I'm still a bit cynical, but aren't we all?? Hahaha ARTPOP - to be announced. You are so right when you say that all three albums have these deep qualities that resonate with most (if not all) listeners. So what if it was preachy, so what if the lyrics weren't about mindless s-x, alcohol consumption and other generic sh*t. We should just TRUST HER. It pains me when I read how people try to dictate her choices....has she ever let us down? It's more Interscope who have screwed us over. I mean, look at how they would not allow Scheiße! And she was fighting for it! I'll say it again. We need to TRUST HER with ARTPOP. (INB4 a song title is "TRUST" ) If we do and we do not try to dictate her choices, we will get a killer album!! And I am willing to bet they we will either love it or hate it but it really doesn't matter what we think.. if whoever doesn't like it they can stan for someone else.. Its. simple as that really Besides, at least she CREATES and experiments with her music. I'd take that any day over her just saying "Meh, I'll just put out an album of songs that sound like Bad Romance every year for the next decade." So no matter how the new album turns out, I'll be happy so long as she feels she grew as an artist from it and continued her artistic journey. And if she does just put out 10 albums of songs sounding just like Bad Romance or something safe/lazy like that (which I highly doubt) and it bothers me, I can move on. Just like if she puts out some bizarre album that flops and some monsters don't like it, they can move on. I really can't imagine ever not loving her though. (No shade to Bad Romance by the way. We all know it's flawless. I just mean it's so easy for artists to play it safe after having a few hits and try to just replicate that over and over and Gaga always keeps moving forward, sometimes in directions certain people like, and sometimes not.)
