But the bottom line is that while Gaga's music main inspiration or structure is pop, it is certainly different from the rest of the current pop artists. Gaga herself wants to differintiate or distinguish her music by calling it ARTPOP. So do you think Gaga's music will be known or recognized as ARTPOP instead of pop in the future once she has many years in her career (specially after having released an album called ARTPOP)? MOLLY CYRUS 3 Posted January 13, 2013 Share Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) IMO, when it comes to music, she's going to always be categorized as POP. her music goes no further than that tbh, although it is above her contemporaries. the only reason she's considered "artistic" is because of her look/performances. the ART aspect of what she does is visually thru videos or stage. TBH only little monsters are this dedicated, (that's why we derserved best fans on the EMAs by the way) Its Crazy how we stand by our computers trying to figure things out, its almost 5am, and i'm here, expecting something new to come up, (rumour, tweet, fans at the show...) but i have this feeling that we are close, the wait is almost over, and out of no where pretty soon, when i'll be at the gym or at school, she'll tweet the release date for the lead single, and then the release date for the album Destiny is for losers. "Oh, Lady Gaga released a song called..uhm..Ratchet? Howbout not." Not saying the song itself wouldn't slay, just saying the title would be a poor choice for a single. She should either give it to Beyonce (which I believe there have been rumors about) or just not make it a single.
