I think she should release ARTPOP in March, then rerelease it in November so she can have four singles from ARTPOP then two from the rerelease before going on a massive world tour mid-2014

Blue Dream

I'm hoping that the commercial album is called ART and the experimental album is called POP, to really reflect the inverting pop art theme :flutter: and it would be a statement in and of itself, you know? that pop music is art, and that experimental music can be pop.

This. That would be too cool. :worship:

Yes. And considering ARTPOP as a whole, 65% of the singles should be from Volume 1 and 35 % from Volume 2.

For example, if she releases 10 in total...

6 from Volume 1 and 4 from Volume 2. That's why she needs more time between the two volumes

I think 3 singles from each volume are right if she wants the era to last at least two years. Or she should release the 2nd volume and do a sort of re-release in 2014, maybe with 10 tracks on ARTPOP I and 6-7 on ARTPOP II (if this idea will become reality). That's the only way to make the thing work. Otherwise she should release it just as one whole album, divide it into two discs and choose the singles from the commercial disc.

Well if first and second singles are released before first volume drops, then there will be sufficient time for 3rd and even 4th single before the 5th single being released from second volume.

Assuming the second volume is actually a re-release rather than entirely another album (which is awkward and too rush tbh)

something like:

Lead single: January

Second single: March/April

Album: April

Third single: June

Fourth single: September

Then.re-release in December together with a new Lead single (kinda like Bad Romance)

Second single: March

Final single: June

To have the sales counted together and not as separate albums, it has to be a re-release.

I found this online randomly and I instantly fell in love with it! I am totally here for an album cover similar to this! Opinions?

It's ARTPOP VOL. 1 and ARTPOP VOL. 2 One album doesn't mean 'ART' and one album doesn't mean 'POP'. It's ARTPOP. Just because it's two volumes doesn't mean it's two different albums. They are different musically, but other than that it's the same.

You people are looking at ARTPOP as two different albums already. When in reality it counts as one. It's a whole project just put into two parts. As time continues on she'll release them together. So, when we have ARTPOP VOL. 1 I don't want to hear anything negative because we won't even have the whole album yet. In all honesty I wish she would release a 2 DISC set with both volumes so we could have the album in it's entirety.

"You people?" Please be respectful. There is no need for generalizing in a casual conversation about Gaga's work.

I only considered my idea of ART = Pop and POP = Art because Gaga raised the whole idea of two volumes with commercial & experimental music. We wouldn't look at them as 'two different albums' if Gaga didn't describe them as two volumes of one album with completely different material of commercial vs. experimental.

Secondly, I don't know where you're bringing the 'negativity' thing from -- Not one thing in my post was geared towards negativity. I'm one of the lest negative people on this forum & I respect Gaga's work even when she disappoints me.

Lastly, I feel the same as you -- wanting it to be one volume rather than two. But, considering that Gaga already stated what she thinks it will be, why not go with it and theorize for fun?

I love the idea, but didn't Gaga say she wants to bring ART and POP together?

In my idea, she's still keeping ART and POP together -- by denoting ART as pop and POP as art. That's how I view it.

You'll take whatever she gives you, bby. :coffee:

Exactly! I hate when people complain about short albums. Look at TFM, it is her shortest main release yet and it is (in lots of people's opinion, IncludIng me) her best album to date!

I can't wait to hear the more "experimental" volume 2 ARTPOP! I can't even imagine what non radio-friendly beauties could be lurking there :omg:

I hope she releases volume 2 a year later, so we're not all banging our heads against the wall waiting for new music like we are now, and by the time volume 2 has lost its novelty, the next album will be out. She can also start her touring earlier and add the experimental songs to the concert playlist after volume 2 has come out, making it all the same tour, so we have less time to wait for a new album while she's busying touring.

This would solve SO MANY problems in the day of a life of a Gaga stan.

Rollercoaster

So after the two ARTPOP albums her contract with Interscope will be over. That could be interesting!

Not really. She'll sign a 10 album deal and gain more control over her career. That's about it. She wouldn't want to lose the management, contacts and general control really. She's very busy without managing the label side of things as well.

The only alternative is signing somewhere else, but where would they be able to focus on promo as much as Gaga does with interscope?

Besides that, she's loyal to the label as they picked her up off the floor Def Jam left her on.
