Rollercoaster 2
I would like 2 singles before the album. It's always more fun to get new music. I'm too used to it once I get the album. Besides, can you imagine the crazy megasmash Telephone would have been as a pre-album single? It would have allowed for Alejandro and Dance in the dark both to follow. Perfecto. Here for: Single 1: First Monday in January Single 2: First week in March Album: last week in March Single 3: First week in August ARTPOP BALL: Begins September 6th, the anniversary of Princess Diana's funeral. Single 4: Christmas period Single 5: Mid March ARTPOP PRERELEASE/EP single 1: July ARTPOP rerelease/EP: August EP single 2: October EP single 3: January ARTPOP BALL ENDS: July. It's a ridiculous long shot but you know. I'm an idealist. The tour would be epic and we'd get 8 videos haha.

She isn't going to lose all fans by having a year off from singles releases. Its good to have a big long gap... it shows she can go and come back and still be loved. toanythingtaboo 5
A March album release with no singles before 2013 is a bit awkward because it's too cramped for two lead singles and either means missing out February promo opportunities (Grammys/Brits) with the single dropping a few weeks before the album or releasing the lead single and album months apart. The best option, IMO, is to let the lead single do it's thing for a few months and then focus on the album. A natural hype builder, but without leaving it too long with two lead singles. People will need convincing to invest in ARTPOP, and a huge lead single should do it. 2012 - Single and album release date announcement. (Dec) - Single artwork revealed for Christmas. (Dec) 2013 - Lead single debuts on the 1st, released on the first chart week day depending. (Jan) - Video drops two/three weeks later. (Jan) - Grammy performance on 10th. (Feb) - Brit performance on 20th. (Feb) - Promo singles/performances of some sort. (Mar) - Terry Richardson film? (Mar) - ARTPOP released in late March. - 2nd single released. (Apr) etc. The benefit of this route is that we get a few weeks hype and the single drops exactly when radios are craving something fresh. Plus, staggering out the release, video, Grammy and Brit performances over 2ish months should aid longevity. Giving it enough time to die down before the album promo kicks in is wise too, especially if she has promo singles of some sort on the cards. We don't want a repeat overcomplicating. Gaga's eras are short and intense; they always have been. She can't keep pumping out hit after hit like some of her contemporaries. Did you just suggest promo singles? Get out. Jase 13,256
I wonder how long we've been having these fantasy timeline discussions for :toofunny: This would never happen. Gaga's eras are short and intense; they always have been. She can't keep pumping out hit after hit like some of her contemporaries. If the first couple of singles are successes, I can see the ARTPOP era lasting longer than her previous eras seeing as though she'll probs be going away for quite a while after AP. What makes you say that? I've seen a lot of people saying this. You really think she'd take more than a 2-year break?
