MCMXCIII 22
guys it's still coming anyway... why the rush!? We're not so far from 2013, instead of rushing to things we should rather enjoy the stuff we already have (Monstervisions, NEWS, etc.) It's been roughly a year and a half since BTW came out. I know you are excited for new music (SO AM I) but we should just be patient, let Gaga take her own time, and deliver truly the best album of the decade. Get ready for ARTPOP 2013. Shaney 5,515
I just feel like its smarter to release the album at least 2 months after the lead single. Like waiting any longer than that can potentially be problematic, the Born This Way-era was a good example. It took her way too long to release the album after the lead single. Especially since neither singles had much longevity. She should just release the lead, hopefully it smashes, then release the album not too long after. If anything at least let the lead settle into radio and into our hearts :P Jam packing an era with singles right off the bat is kind of tiresome. Actually the way Interscope had planned the singles out for BTW was really good time wise. Its just that some of the songs weren't single quality. That's when the problems arose. Interscope should use the BTW single plan again but with ACTUAL SINGLE MATERIAL Edited September 10, 2012 by Pyrenti

I don't think thats good timing at all. It was just stretching out anticipation to the point of frustration lol Althought I agree the majority of the singles weren't single quality. Like who even does that? lol Its bad marketing. Edited September 10, 2012 by leviticus

Like who even does that? lol Its bad marketing. Its really not. If you pick the 2nd most commercial song on the album and know that it will slit throats, you can leave that out for 3 months. Then you can release the most commercial song of the album as the second single and leave that single out for 3 months also. She could release the album at about the month and half mark of the second single. is 4 and a half months of slayage really that bad? think.

And both Born This Way and Judas were horrible single choices in comparison to other songs on the album that had better single potential, in my opinion. But anyway, its just much more plausible to release the album at least 2 months after the first single. I mean someone like her doesn't need 4 months worth of exposure before an album release. The hype is already there she doesn't have to try so hard to create it. Plus, some albums only have 3 singles tops. She really can't afford to be that presumptuous this time around, she has to play it safe at least a little.
