davidnail 56 Posted September 10, 2012 Share Posted September 10, 2012 LOLOLOL. because someone hasnt done something before doesnt mean that they wont do it in the future. and industry standards???? you mean like releasing all your music on a website and releasing tracks on farmville before your album comes out? or you mean like releasing an album as an app ? thats not industry standards. remember, she wants to make the industry bleed. lol AND industry standards isnt (correct me if im wrong) releasing a tour a whole year after the album comes out. i mean i dunno. >.< I know she is being innovative in a promotional way, but we will see about releases. I am not against her releasing it before March and will gladly admit you were right if that happens. However, I do not believe that she will. We all get more excited than we should around here. We get ourselves hyped up and think "omg its coming any day its totally going to be a surprise" and then we are always let down. Look at her history, I am simply stating my opinion.She does not like to bleed two eras together like that typically, and it seems like BTW and ARTPOP are two very different concepts. I mean I could understand if she released the lead single and then released the album like 5 months later w/o a 2nd single but why does it matter if she releases 2 singles before the album release? I just feel like its smarter to release the album at least 2 months after the lead single. Like waiting any longer than that can potentially be problematic, the Born This Way-era was a good example. It took her way too long to release the album after the lead single. Especially since neither singles had much longevity. She should just release the lead, hopefully it smashes, then release the album not too long after. If anything at least let the lead settle into radio and into our hearts :P Jam packing an era with singles right off the bat is kind of tiresome. If that's an indicator of the next lead's success, she could get away with a single release in October followed by a single in January with the album 2weeks after. Born this way was at the top for almost 2 months and in the top 10 for even longer. They need better spacing, but with the album being the main seller, singles will need more reason to sell.
