I only want one single before the album, like The Fame Monster.

this tbh :nails:

but how long was the gap of the BR release and TFM album release ?

Edit: In case you guys wonder why I asked, its because I'm from the Born This Way (song) Era

Not long at all.

Bad Romance came out in October then the album came out the following month.

Which is how it should be! Idk why everyone always suggests 2 singles be released before the album on here lol

One pre-album single and then one single released alongside the album is the best compromise imo.

I wouldn't mind this, imo.

3 points in and ready for more

It would be stupid if she releases the album in January, like wtf? She would just release it in December and benefit from the holiday sales. I think the album is coming February.

To me, it feels like Gaga is slowly slipping into the exact same mistake she made with Born This Way. She's already starting to tease and hype this album. With the album only due out Q1 next year, this is incredibly early. She's teasing lyrics, and has even played the title track in public.

This didn't happen with Born This Way until a lot closer to the release, and even then, people complained that she was hyping the album/single way too early.

Does anyone else agree? This is just too early...

Mhm. Save all this info for September around the single era. Mad that she killed all the hype for September.

I just want to say I will be seeing Zedd (along with Guetta) at a DJ Festival on Sept 1st and 2nd, do you think maybe he will like play or mix something, instrumental wise, from Gaga?

Does anyone else feel like she's doing the opposite of the soon thing? I found it weird when she released the album title early. Hm.

I have a feeling that they were planning to release the album this year, but something happened at the meeting with Interscope which caused a delayed release. Hopefully it was nothing to do with the songs themselves and they just wanted her to stay out of the public-eye for a wee bit longer..

Although I hope they let Gaga pick the singles this time. Their BTW single choices were just awful. I mean, just imagine the videos for HML and Scheisse.

Not liking those songs/wanting others over the ones picked =/= poor single choices though

I consider the VMA's promo equally a GH video and a HML video.

I liked Judas, I just thought it was a poor single choice not because of the religious controversy but because of how it sounds. It didn't seem like something that could smash as opposed to a song like Sheisse thats so obviously more radio friendly in terms of its sound.

I also knew You and I was a poor single choice because of its production. It doesn't sound young or fresh, it just sounded dated with a slight country twinge. It seemed sort of obvious her young casual demographic was not going to respond to it. At least I thought it was obvious anyway.

Sure enough neither were the hits that a few other ignored songs from that album could have been.
