I wonder what she means by I'll do it in the swimming pool so everybody sees.

I thought she meant s-x. Such a private thing but done so the whole world can see. Linking to the whole idea of being private in public (not saying that will be a song, but I think it's a theme for this album).

Suicide. I dont think she means s-x because early in the song she sings about taking peroxide shots. The whole song is about suicide/dying

Already imagining a MV for it. I'm thinking Paparazzi, but even more intense.

It's such a beautiful, haunting song. I really love it, and I'll be sad if it isn't on the new album

This song is okay to me. I thought she would do another song on Diana. It really is a sad song, but I could of wrote something like this (I do write music), so it's not like out of the box for me. I am just happy we got to hear it!!

I think that people are saying that because the lyrics are dark and deep and are more Lana-like, but the music itself is nothing like Lana. But it's definitely my favorite Gaga ballad (besides maybe Fooled Me Again).

I see what you mean...some people don't like this song and find the lyrics unrelatable...i disagree though! this ballad is one of her best

She's cleaning those shoes so she'll look good dead

This. She is pulling a Just Dance/Paparazzi on those lyrics (ie hiding the actual meaning)

I can't wait to hear what the final production sounds like. I would prefer it to be an acoustic ballad, downbeat, low-key.

I like it. Not obsessed with it.

ALSO - unrelated, but still annoying me - how in the world do these kids get to go to all these shows? The tickets are really expensive, I'm still saving up! And seeing as they're following her around I'm going to assume they hardly work, if they even work at all. Are their parents just paying for them to go to all these tour dates? If so... more like RICH kids than BAD kids.

I'm beginning to think the song is what happened before the hospital in Marry The Night (she tried to kill herself)

Agreed. I think shes pulling lyrics/beats from The Fame/ FM and adding the sophistication of BTW in the new album.

Which would make this her best record TBH

Is it just me, or does "Princess Die" sound a lot like "Living On The Radio"? Nonetheless, it's a very emotional and beautiful song and I hope it will be featured on the next album

It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.

Yes you're probably right. It ties to the whole Private in Public theme, suicide being a very private and lonely act.
