He's basically saying everything was okay and she randomly fired him :rip:

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Hardly.. Gaga didn't do it all on her own. She had an entire team around her.

Everybody's got a team. Yet, there's still only been one Gaga, one star like her in decades. So yeah, I'm giving her the bulk of the credit.

This seems like a sad situation for both tbh. I feel like we'll never know exactly what went down.

It kind of reminds me of when J.Lo fired Benny Medina seemingly out of nowhere way back when, tho that was worse because she ended up suing him after she cut him loose. If those two can reunite after all that mess I have hope for LG and Troy.

Gaga is writing the checks, and she’s a business woman. I mean look what happened to TLC. They waited till it was too late to fire their manager and they ended up BROKE! She probably found something out that she didn’t like or maybe he wasn’t doing what she asked. She’s the boss. Good for her. He’s fine now anyway.

Good point. There's so many things that might have played a factor in this split. I mentioned J.Lo and Benny above, and that's a good example. One of the alleged reasons why she let Benny go was was that he did nothing to combat or control the tabloid reports about her (the elaborate all white dressing room rumors etc); another reason was some financial stuff. She only noticed these issues after Ben Affleck contrasted his management with hers.

He's not, really. He's just saying it's hard to get used to.

But, not everybody has the same team as Gaga either.

And I'm sorry, but none of them are standouts on their own. Look at their other work, with other artists.

Still think it was wrong of her to just fire him like that, it's like she loves firing people that took a chance on her in the beginning.

Just a big mess, guarantee the Haus is scrambling to tie loose ends and stuff and getting her back on track

That J

This is interesting because it gives a timing...."on the eve of the release of ARTPOP". So did he or did he not help usher the rush release of DWUW? Whoever did totally stalled the entire era. I've been a pop follower for 20 plus years and I don't remember seeing an era so stalled before. Then add a "reboot" to it? I hope it works. Thankfully the tour is selling very very well. So there's that. Anyway, he seems kind and disappointed but thankful regardless. Good for him

Madonna was notorious for letting people who got her to one level go just to get to the next level, then go, etc etc. That's not nice but at least she had an eye on a bigger prize BEFORE squashing the one she had. It's a dangerous game and ya gotta play it right. Especially in the beginning of a new era. I hope gaga knows what she's doing.

They both said sort of the same thing when it came to the relationship, that it was like waking up and someone you expected to be there wasn't there anymore. It's odd that many seem to want to make him out to be the sole problem, yet from his side of things it's like she just totally fired him out of nowhere or something... I don't know. I guess we'll eventually see how this whole ordeal pans out, for both of them, and whether it was for the better or not. I don't know the whole story so I guess I can just wish them each the best..

Love that quote at the end too.. Gaga really knew exactly who she was and he saw that through.. I think it's amazing how it all worked out.

True Madonna went through 3 managers i believe before her current Guy Oseary. Stars hire and fire managers all the time in the entertainment business and survive it's nothing really that earth shattering.

Mister G

Inb4 this is all a giant prank and Gaga and Troy reunite and he never stopped being her manager. Why do I get a feeling that everything going on is part of this whole "Decay of the Popstar" element she spoke about a long time ago?

Yes; I'd bet the Venus/DWUW switch has something to do with it.  Gaga clearly announced Venus as 2nd single, and the performance of DWUW on itunes when taking pre-orders into account was insufficient to justify the switch, so something else had happened behind the scenes.
