Bloody 64,631
So in 15 weeks Applause got 2.6M streams and DWUW got 3M streams in the U.K. That's 26,000 sales for Applause and 30,000 sales for DWUW. Applause 300k (pure sales) + 26k (Spotify Streams) = 326,000 DWUW 260k (pure sales) + 30k (Spotify Streams) = 290,000 Now those are just using actual numbers. In the past year Applause and DWUW obviously got more streams from not only Spotify but smaller streaming services like O2 Tracks and Deezer. I think these estimations are good enough, what do y'all think?: Applause 350,000 DWUW 320,
ChrisX 0
1027 Lady Gaga - Applause 5 31 153 +9% 1k U.S. iTunes Applause has been selling 1-2k a week which pushes it further towards 3x Platinum. In December it was selling 5-8k a week each week, in November it was selling 10-12k a week each week, based of charts on Kworb. I just don't remember how well it was selling from August to end of October and btw it was still selling very decent from the end of March (2,415,000) during the summer and until around September. We should update it's sales. As well as Do What U Want because I have those stats saved.

Rainbow Unicorn 82
Applause sales: France: 60,000+ This is really overestimated. Real sales probably just pass 45k there. DWUW is between 46k and 50k, not more too.

I'm on "Charts in France" official forum, and the estimations didn't pass 46k actually... You know... Since February the songs are selling not more than 100 copies per week... #100 on the chart is selling 350. In France, once a song is day... Well, it's dead

Arturo 40,746
Should I add my estimations of Applause and DWUW in the U.K that includes streaming? btw I estimated 350k for Applause and 320k for DWUW The U.K, unlike the U.S, has seemed to completely dump pure sales when measuring how many units a song has moved. I think it'd only be fair.

I think it'd only be fair. You are so right, it really looks like the UK doesn't care about pure sales when singles are concerned. I also think that is true of other countries except the US. Since February the songs are selling not more than 100 copies per week... #100 on the chart is selling 350. In France, once a song is day... Well, it's dead I just went on there. I see it at 65k in some forums. I do see Applause at 44k and DWUW at 46k. I also typed ARTPOP in the search for news and there was an article stating 60k. Not in the forum area but in the news area. http://www.chartsinfrance.net/Lady-GaGa/ARTPOP-a119180275.html I also don't understand the debate between sales and shipments. For a record company shipments are sales, and it has been that way since before SoundScan. Those shipments are paid for by retailers and resold to the general public. In other words it's money in the bank for labels and artists. SoundScan was put into place more for retailers as a universal system to see how many copies of an artists album they should order from week to week or month to month. Not that anyone cares now a days, because of iTunes, Amazon and streaming. That it where the most cash flow for labels are coming from now. Album sales are at all time lows, but labels are still making a profit. I am tired of this shipments vs actual sold. They are both considered sold and pretty soon album pure sales, and shipments will not matter and it will be a think of the past. The videos have like 86 million views combined and it only sold 30,000 copies in the U.S. when it's such a great song (at least to me) one of my absolute favorites honestly
