It is ATROCIOUS. I hate it almost as much as Gangnam Style. Do you remember my hatred? :toofunny:

Yes and this song is worthy of that crown :fail:  Are people buying this song because it's so bad it's funny?

It was reported several times to be both Jesse's lead single & a single from My Everything's era cycle.

Just because it was credited as Jesse J's lead single doesn't make the statement of it being an Ariana single too any less valid, as the song itself is a duet.

Credits :

Single by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj
from the album Sweet Talker and My Everything.

They're under the same label umbrella which considers the song to be a shared single respectively from both album cycles, and that's enough to include it as a 'My Everything' single.

The only reason why it wasn't approached as a single from My Everything at first was because the tracklist for ME wasn't revealed yet, when the album came out it was automatically included as a single.

On top of that, Ariana's promotional team and media coverage always have approached it as an Ariana single as well, now its assured since BB articles and other European (and Middle Eastern) media reports reported it as indeed an Ariana single.

& that's leaving aside the fact that Ariana was unquestionably the main reason for the song's commercial appeal, success and radio exposure.

I believe I've addressed all of these weeks ago when we had an exchange regarding the same subject. No one is refuting that 'Bang Bang' isn't a single of Ariana Grande, or it was not reported as a single from her album too, or its chart success could/should be credited to her due to the overall success she had at that time thanks to the other hit singles 'Problem' and 'Break Free'.

The contention is more about whose album the single is more associated to from the very beginning all the way to this year. Again, it wasn't just during 2014 when the majority of the media was promoting 'Bang Bang' as the lead single of Jessie J more than a follow-up single of Ariana from ME. It went as far as early this year when 'One Last Time' was reported by more as the 4th single off ME, instead of being the 5th single if they count 'Bang Bang' towards ME's line-up.

The single is by Ariana Grande as much as it is by Jessie J and by Nicki Minaj too since they're all equally credited as the lead artists. It's the same with 45S. It's a single by Rihanna and Kanye West and Paul McCartney. But between the three, the single is most associated to Rihanna since it's supposedly her lead and her name is always mentioned first whenever credits pop up (like Jessie J with 'Bang Bang'). Kanye could release his album by now with 45S on it and he could call it as a single too from his album all he wants. But it won't change the fact that the single was promoted first as the lead of Rihanna even before it turned out to be a success. Therefore, it shouldn't come off as a surprise to him if more would credit the single to Rihanna's album more than to his album even if they're equally credited as the lead.

That Ari talk again. Single or not, her album is still a major flop in sales, but good for her for getting those Spotify streams

How come it's a major flop? The delusion is real. 600K+ and 1.3M ww sales isn't a major flop what the heck. Many artists would cut their diqs just to get those sales.

Not to mention My Everything got a billion streams in Spotify alone.

I don't really hate or deny the success of other artists. But sometimes the excessive stanning of fans towards some artist really made me hate them more. And I'm not saying anyone. I'm just sharing my thoughts
