Gypsy Life 118,907
Stop complaining ARTPOP is plantium now actually we SHOULD be complaining. the rule is not applied to old albums so that makes me FUME that ARTPOP's numbers could've doubled but they won't be. Bad Monster Kid 13,140
This new rule It really bothers me. Billboard should stick to tracking sales only. This goes for songs as well.
Paper Gangsta 6,693
I don't actually mind new rule. Streaming is future (and present) of music. One of the mean reasons why sales decayed is popularisation of streaming, so I don't see why there is problem with this
brizoda 3,851
i'm against this new Billboard rule. they're favorising popular bands/artists in detriment of álbum sellers (fan favorites and indie artists)
Glory 2,247
Adding singles sales/streaming to album sales Why make 2 charts if so ? That's so stupid... Can't we make a petition or smth like that against this (as if we had some power i know...)
ViviLittleM 3
1M next week WW sales: @BarbraStreisand, Partners 47,000 (989,000 total).

Lady 748
Watch record labels REALLY start fighting against streaming becoming THIS important. Even Apple is thinking about doing it's own label and their ambition is that all the artists who are under them are not going to be represented on Spotify (and apparently Apple is fighting for/wants only big names like Beyonce, Timberlake etc so that all this can actually have an impact). Sorry, it's off-topic, I know.

It would be interesting if a number of high-profile artist teamed up against spotify I wonder what the long-term effect would be
Robotboy 1,700
i wonder when people will realize you can just ilegally download music but spotify is what keeps us from doing it people acting like its someting horrible when its saving the industry. i guess its like with everything new/different. at first everyone bash it and then they come around Remember that you are unique. Sorry, it's off-topic, I know. They won't, lol. Streaming is the solution and it's good for everybody. The singers that retire their songs from spotify do it just for renegociate their contracts with their labels and took more percentage from the streams. World is going streaming cause it's the solution for a bigger music industry and a healthier too.
Gagamel 3,410
No. Just no. It is true in a way sis, think about it.... Spotify is free and pays the artist... downloading illegally is free but doesn't give the artist any money.... I mean its best if people just buy the music but that is obviously not going to happen so Spotify is probably the better solution
