20 years ago, Mariah Carey's Xmas classic 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' was on the way to no.1 globally. Meanwhile it's a good tradition, that the song returns on the hitlists every year in December and it's the only Xmas classic which enters the Global Top 40 every year.

Some additional interesting facts: 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' is one of only three Xmas songs, which went to no.1 globally. The other two are Band Aid's 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' (1984, 2004, 2014) and Slade's 'Merry Xmas Everybody' (1973).

With the return of the song on the Global Top 40 next week, 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' reaches a total of more than 6 million points, enough for a debut on the All Time Chart. It's only the second Xmas song on that list after 'Do They Know It's Christmas?'.

Since the release of 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' 20 years ago, there was born no further Xmas classic. No composer, no poet, no singer / songwriter in the whole wide world created a big Xmas tune in the last 20 years... it's high time for a new smash!!

13. Love Me Harder

:whitney:

Well we all know how lips are movin were shoved to the throat of listeners being performed everywhere. And it's 100x better than that reductive generic song. :zilla:

Lol imb4 taylor replaces herself for a second time with Style :spin:

1989 has so many good single choices its so hard to pick. I would like Style > Out of the woods > Wildest Dreams > all you had to do was stay

I don't understand why people like OOTW so much like eehhh

Omg Style at #11 in the US

When do you think this will be OFFICIALLY released as a single? im thinking January..

Blank Space needs to burn out a bit Style will easily go #1 in the US.

Blank Space would have got #2 MAYBE #1 in the UK if she hadn't taken her music down from spotify :')

I'm hoping Style can get top 10 in the UK somewhere around #5-#8 :)

Noooo like late February/Early March too much she needs some (blank) space between her singles :teehee:
