Lol dont be dramatic. Yes Tilda has played a couple great roles in her lifetime, but to act as if the entire world should know of her and that it would simply be "embarrassing" not too is a little much.

I respect that you think she's one of the best actresses of our time, but I'm not sure that many will agree with you.

 

She's a really, really universally acclaimed actress though so any real cinephile should know her - see We Need To Talk About Kevin, Adaptation, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Michael Clayton, Moonrise Kingdom, Burn After Reading, Orlando, Snowpiercer, The Deep End, Possible Worlds, Julia, Only Lovers Left Alive, etc. A lot would actually agree with Pop's opinion that she's one of the best actresses of her generation (I'm hesitant to call her that but she's been consistently amazing in every role she plays). Not disrespecting your opinion though!

 

And Pandora, the last thing one should do is call a human being a "thing", acclaimed actress or not. Talk about incredible rudeness... :roll:

 

Where are you all getting this information that he doesn't like her from? As far as I'm aware, he's never made any comments about Gaga thus far? Also, do you really think she would still talk about him so much if he'd said he didn't like her?

 

Exactly - which is why those speculations (I hesitate to call them actual "rumors") don't hold water any way you look at it. The man just doesn't seek out to be in the spotlight with interviews anymore, even though he's got a new album out. Gaga said he's sort of an alien prince - personally, I think she meant or at least meant to invoke Prince, who is also a very reclusive artist now in terms of media presence. I also figured they hadn't met yet because otherwise we would've heard about it from her. While practically every music legend on the planet raves about her and loves her (except a few who seem to be jealous), Bowie's way of living at the moment kind of explains his silence when it comes to Gaga - he's just avoiding the spotlight.

 

I do really hope she gets to meet him though - she's met Iman! :)

Anyone who is familiar with the breadth of her work (and that includes her smaller, lesser known films) can easily recognize that she is an extraordinary talent. For my money, she is one of the best. I would go see her in literally anything.

But I agree with you in that she's hardly a household name.

I find it really strange that they haven't met.  She's met sooooo many famous people, including the queen of England, but she couldn't wrangle a quick meet-up with her biggest idol? The only thing I can think of is that Bowie didn't want to meet her. But that's just weird, because they're like two peas in a pod. 

I agree.... She's got access to like everyone and it seems like he avoids her. Oh well. Still love them both.
