When she had her meltdown a few years back I was 100% rooting for her and I couldn't even imagine how she was able to deal with that. She seems like a pretty cool person to be perfectly honest. I just have very strong opinions on some of these issues. Anyway, I honestly I hope the song turns out really good! Oh and I have to admit, she has some catchy songs. I'm not a fan of her music but I really like that song Toxic :) I love your reasonable tone and explanation of a gray-area opinion Britney has been through some sh*t we can't imagine, so whatever she can bring to a collab -- even if we're just talking Britney's unique perspective on a truly harrowing life on this earth -- I'm sure she and Gaga will have a discussion about it that would blow minds. Gaga has always avoided being seen with/working with/being associated in general with other pop girls. She knew she was special and didn't want to invite comparisons. However, just like a LOT of other things this era, she's been breaking her own rules. I don't have much against Britney, but I can't see this collab being anything super special. Especially if it gets forced and it doesn't happen organically. Thankfully, it'll probably find its way to her other 3,000 shelved collaborations. And then it wasn't even on the album. And all we ever heard was a rough demo. Yeah, it's like that. Good point. After what fizzled with Cher, how can we be sure she'd follow through? Sadly, this era isn't being received too well by critics or sales, and it seems Gaga is resorting to collabs to help boost things. If she and Britney have their own control over it it will be fine. GaGa is against the controlling aspect that other people have over the artists, not the artists themselves. Britney is so likable and lovely, and let's face it... she's Britney Spears. It's a match made in pop heaven. Imagine Gaga releasing an amazing duet with Britney for the second volume of ARTPOP... Except...how would the live performance be? lol It's the fear of the flop. They are both scared as hell, time to do something about it.
