craig 680 Posted December 10, 2013 Share Posted December 10, 2013 Last year Pink dropped from 114k to 39k after Black Friday week. Katy is projected to drop from mid 130's to low 40's next week.. So if Gaga still manages 25-27k, that's only 7-10k behind what we could reasonably expect. Lots of you weren 't expecting she'd make 100k last week and she made 116k. So don't overract over 7-10k sales disappointment. So Gaga got the 35k I said she could reasonably expect based on Pink's fall from 114k to 39k last year. Based on her recent comments about her new schedule and finally feeling like herself again, I feel part of her split with Troy was over his demands for her to promote the album at an inhuman pace. The last time she pushed herself to the edge, she became d--g dependent and her body literally broke. She is promoting at a human speed now, internationally and domestically. This may mean she will never sell as much again. It does not matter. She loves the music not the bling. Actually, it's rumored that Troy didn't want Gaga to promote the album because he didn't like it, which made Gaga leave. That's a rumor, but it's way more probable than any other reason. The sales are okay tbh, not horrible. If the third single becomes a big big hit with longetivity and she'll perform at the Grammys it'll probably pass 1,5M sales, and, hopefully, in the end it will outsell BTW in the US. ARTPOP might have an Unapologetic run although I'd like it to sell more given that Unapologetic only had two big hits and I'm expecting at least 3 from ARTPOP with Gypsy.
