And here and there she'd put out songs that I like and I would download them.when she had that mental breakdown years ago I felt bad for her. And I felt like the media was too harsh on her. And since then I don't think she's ever been the same. Hope she finds peace in her life, which with her new guy and her kids, I believe she will. However if there is any ARTIST that is "over" it's Britney. Yes she still puts out albums, but what she makes is no longer something you can label yourself an artist with. She just recorded things that she thought were cool. At the risk of pitting two people against each other, there is a reason why most Britney fans hate every other female artist and they are more discussed on Brit's fan forums than Britney herself. Britney fans hate other female artists because they are often the antithesis of Britney. Articulate, fully involved with their own music, sings live, has a good voice, plays an instrument (no, those 5 seconds Britney tapped a few keys on a piano on MTV 10 years ago doesn't count), and actually communicates with their fans. Britney has never been regarded as an important part of the musical world. She's always been the ultimate tabloid icon. It infuriates them. She's basically the worst example of everything a pop star can be.
