I am in Europe (While BL was smashing I was in Bulgaria and not many people knew the song, and then I moved to Netherlands and here more people know the song but still .. ) I know It had success everywhere but compared to the USA the song was more local ... The biggest success of the song is in USA UK and AUS ... That for me is a bit local and local doesn't mean a song flopped or something just means that It was more successful in English speaking countries ... Cause I doubt I will be able to fetch a stream (work ) It's probably at night for us, don't know whether I'll stay awake all night. With the AMAs I was like "**** it" when I heard that she'd be one of the last performers (it already was 2:30 AM - I would've had to stay up till 5 AM and I had school the next day). I stayed up all night for the VMAs and stayed up till 1 AM for the Youtube Awards. I think that I might just set my alarm clock for like 4 AM. I am not arguing that It's not a hit here, as I said here more people know the song ..
