During the weekdays 7am - 11 am ET which means 2pm - 6 pm Spain's time. And I'll repeat my answer of yesterday: 14:00-16:00 on weekdays for us West-Europeans (06:00-08:00 in the US). Night for us West-Europeans in weekends, requesting on Saturday Open Night, 18:00-24:00 in the US. Those are critics, hipsters, older people, people who choose Grammy awards, etc. If they hear the jazz album and the vocals are as good as you can expect with Gaga, she'll get so much praise and it'll be a bit of a bandwagon. Of course, the younger audience won't care: but do they have to? It's more of a thing with image: Imagine if it wasn't cool to hate Gaga anymore, but instead people praised Gaga like how that happens with Adele and Beyonce, media wouldn't be bashing her which would result in even more respect from the GP, critics wouldn't bash her which would result in even more respect from the GP, and she could win a few Grammys which is great for her image. See Beyonce, is she that much better than Gaga vocally/performance-wise? No. She can dance and sing at the same time, but most of the chorus during her performances she just dances and screams "Jump!" "Put your hands in the air!" "say ...!" "cmon!". Her music isn't better than Gaga's. Her videos aren't better than Gaga's. Her instrumentals aren't better than Gaga's. Yet she has like 20 Grammys while Gaga has 5 Grammys (yes I know Gaga has a longer career), same with Adele. They have this kind of GP approval, everybody likes them because they're such great vocalists and performers. People hate Gaga because they don't know enough about her, and they think Gaga's untalented and ugly and bad because others say so, and that is because others say so, and that is because a few haters say so. They all haven't seen a Gaga performance yet, or listened to a whole album. They just assume it's true. Beyonce have 20 awards only because of R&B tho ... Gaga can't be nominated for anything besides 2 pop categories and the main categories and these are the hardest to win... I Mean Beyonce won just a few of the main categories yet she has 20 awards.. And yes you are right about the Image .. but Gaga is trying to appeal to the older audience for quiet some time now and It's not working because a lot of old people act like kids .. I mean I can't believe that there are 30-40+ people that hate her ? I mean don't you have a family to take care of Instead of hating an artist ? Because there are still a lot of people that hate her and not only teens .. With BTW she appealed more to older audience than younger ... She just needs to start doing her thing but also she needs to grow. . . Bless this post You are acting like the ARTPOP era is over or that Beyonce has slayed Gaga just because of a debut(that is honestly very impressive). Instead of thinking about the 5th album and Gaga's Superbowl comeback performance you should focus on DWYW that is about smash and the upcoming singles that can become hits and move albums and make this beautiful album a bright page in Gaga's career. Stop thinking about comebacks and Superbowl because when their time comes Gaga will have already spent the biggest part of her career so you better have enjoyed the journey until then since time can't turn back. And this one too BEYONCE sold 500k in 3 days??? omg is that even possible?! USA only, in 48 hours Fact is, her WW first-week sales will be disappointing because it won't be as much slayage. I can remember the ARTPOP pre-orders, there were ~100k pre-orders in the US, but only 3k in Germany/France, 10k in the UK, 1k in Spain/Italy, 3k in Japan, 5k in Australia. But BTW didn't fail attracting the older audience, it's just that they were more focused on albums like 21 and Amy Winehouse's discography, and were turned off by songs like Born This Way (EY comparisions), Judas (well, you know why). TeoG did extremely well on HAC/AC radio - it still had 10 mil AI on AC radio five months after its release and Yoü and I But yes, it's image and bandwagon. Gaga can restore it by going on tour more often, getting a new PR team, releasing the singles that show off her vocal talents, having more acoustic performances and also releasing the Jazz album. If the Jazz album becomes successful, she'll be much more respected. And next to that, I know this is really a bad way of thinking, but the album will probably be Tony Bennett's last album before he dies - he's 89 and by the release of the album he'll be what? 90? 91? - and that will make people much more interested in the album, they'll listen to it for Tony Bennett but end up praising both Gaga and Tony. If it's the music that's hindering them to buy ARTPOP, then what else can anyone do? No matter how great a marketing campaign for an album is, if the material itself isn't good enough for people to enjoy, it won't sell at all.
