A 30 second spot costs $4 million, having an ad is not a matter of Gaga being "smart"

You think Interscope would drop $4 million on a 30 second ad to promote her to a demographic that generally isn't interested in her music?

Over 100 million people watch it, you think there ISN'T going to be enough people interested for them to debate spending that cash only to quickly earn it back and draw back attention to the biggest international star on their roster?

Yes because straight men watching football is definitely Gaga's target demographic. I don't think you are quite understanding how much $4 million dollars is for a 30 second advertisement, do you think it would really boost sales? You need half a brain to realize this.

 

Keep using your sarcastic little emoticon as well, it's not proving your point at all and quiet honestly you're making a moronic assumption to think a record label would drop millions on ONE advertisement that would fall to deaf ears (Not to mention, barely anyone would remember a Gaga album commercial when every company pulls out all the big guns for one night)

 

Next time you see an album advertisement during the Super Bowl lmk

There are plenty of Superbowl ads through the years that aren't even geared towards men, but are far more gender neutral

Stop acting like you know everything about advertising and every single statistic about the Superbowl and its audience. You always discount the fact that people have Superbowl parties, and invite a bunch of people over to their houses, of which around 53m households watched it. Calculate that and you'll have 106m people watching it. Say ~85% of them are men, with 15% being women and kids. That's still 15.9m viewers. Even if 3% of people watch the Superbowl and are women, that's over 3m potential buyers. Say 105k of those women decide to actually purchase the CD for their kids or themselves. That's $1,573,950, assuming they buy them for $14.99. ****, that number could be higher if it's discounted. If you took your head out of your ego's clouds, you'd realize that it's a simple economics situation, and that it could be the best exposure she's had in probably 3 years. Or, say that some buy the CD (less), but they decide to check out her singles and buy it. That's a market of 3m potential single purchases, which equate to about 3m dollars anyways.

Why the hell shouldn't she?

That demographic is hardly Beyonce and Madonna's demographic either :P I mean they were performing so it's different, but they still got major boosts in sales...
