Gaga's 68% drop also the biggest, but a lot of drops over 50% this week.

At least we outsold Britney Jean by 1615.

That's what happens when you discount and take the discount off.

I doubt X brand frozen pizza sells well right after it's $3 off sale expires.

Comparing ARTPOP to frozen pizza :toofunny:

Well, Frozen is #1 and the Italian ARTPIZZA is at #25.

We can now forget an era that lasts Quattro Stagioni.

The only way to revive the album sales of ARTPOP is for the third single to be a decent hit, a single that could at least peak within the top 10 of the HOT 100 chart and actually stay there for more than a month. Otherwise, I don't know what else could push ARTPOP to platinum within this year.

Do you think we have a song left on AP that could stay in top 10 for one month?

Cuz I dont think we have

Of course he is :toofunny: his album got released like a month ago

And guys, signles sell albums. The more singles, the better for her future career and 'receipts' - not just for ATRLers but also for things such as X Factor trailers, articles, etc.

It doesn't really matter if they're not making profit. More sales is always better. Marry the Night helped the album sell really well Q1 2012, eventhough it flopped. If Gaga simply makes this era a complete era with 5 singles, all with music videos, 3 months long eras, radio exposure, promotion and such, the album will keep selling.

What I've found in the past is that single:album sales = usually 5:1 WW.

Imagine: Gaga actually does release Gypsy as the third single, it sells 3M WW.

GUY as fourth single, sells 2M WW.

ARTPOP as fifth single, sells 3M WW.

Venus as sixth and last single, sells 2M WW.

If what I'm saying is actually true (it depends on market though; in South Korea and Anglophone markets singles sales are much higher while in European and Latin American markets album sales are higher than single sales), it would mean that she could end up with a good 4M WW by the end of the era. That's still a high amount of sales. And perhaps with a re-release with another 2-3 singles (and a smash hit?) she could end the era with 6-7M WW, making it as successful as Teenage Dream.

#spreadonlinepositivity

I'm trying to be realistic by the way, selling 2M in 2014 and 2M in 2015 isn't that extremely hard I believe. That'd be selling 40k a week for 2 years long, or 60k for 50 weeks and 20k for 50 weeks. Hell, if the US sales stay around 10k, Japanese sales around 5k, UK sales around 3k, Canadian around 2k, she already has 30k a week on lock.

thank you

Gypsy is an obvious single to me, but then again, so does DWUW.

I would say something about your music taste and your always negative attitude but I don't wanna get a WP. :awkney:

The point if that isn't some free falling disaster, but what generally happens when a product goes off discount.

Katy's sales declined 55% and she has a #1 single on itunes. I suspect Miley has more continuing discounts.
