VforVendetta 2,024
WB had already gone #1 on iTunes and was in the top 10, two weeks later. It sold 90K the first two days and 200K the first full week. It was a smash waiting to happen. Also, stop ignoring the obvious. Hannah Montana made a naked video! That was why everyone wanted to see it and why everyone was talking about it.Ok but DWYW is also a hit waiting to happen, so the video will help a lot... Whispering 18,865
omg according to billboard dark horse sold 785 000 !!! and it kinda confirms it as the third single when interviewing one of capitols heads Didn't we already know this was probably going to be the 3rd single? What does this have to do with DWUW anyways? Isn't there some Katycat thread where fans can talk about Katy?

Pure Adrenaline 1,518
Finally US is here for Ellie again Even if it's with that awful song, but oh well srsly US is so slow and hard in giving chance to other non american artists (although Elle is under Interscope) Sumertime Sadness was slaying Europe in the summer of 2012 ... it just become decent/moderate hit in the US in 2013 after being remixed and discounted few times now Burn it was all over Europe and not only back in June/July now it's Dec. it needed half year so US could pick it up :megaflop: Everyone was rooting for Burn to smash and now that it's catching up, everyone seems to hate it. Give Ellie a break, the song is great and it deserves to smash and give her some exposure. I'm here for DWUW #1, Burn #2, The Monster #3 ..... Dark Horse #5 on the BB Hot 100 It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely

Whispering 18,865
+ the VMA "controversy" True! Hannah Montana with her foam finger got more media coverage than I've seen in years over a performance. It was the perfect storm situation. People shouldn't expect that to happen again for a while, not with Miley, and definitely not with a performer like Gaga. What does she have left to shock people with at that insane level? Mariano 958
its the same artist guys.. its not more similar than for example bad romance and judas Exactly, let alone that his style is at least unique ... His songs may sound a bit alike but at least don't sound like other artist's songs like Roar and Brave etc.. (the same producer again but different artists..) Whispering 18,865
So weird how this song can go from getting consecutive red updates to consecutive green without any reason Rhythmic type songs don't do as well on the weekends. IDK why? I'm sure there is some reasoning behind the trend. Dance songs, like Applause will rise on the weekends. We know why that is. :) Also, the higher a song gets on the Pop chart, the more it will be played on weekends, due to DJs defaulting to pre-recorded playlists. That can have affect iTunes. Foivos 64
Smash hits generally peak at around 17.000 spins at pop and Monster is at 14,600 already. I think it will peak in the next 2 weeks on pop as it gets 450+ spins every day there....

We know why that is. :) Also, the higher a song gets on the Pop chart, the more it will be played on weekends, due to DJs defaulting to pre-recorded playlists. That can have affect iTunes. A dance song (like Applause) always rises during weekend because it's always played in parties and clubs as opposed to songs like DWUW, it's never played in clubs, hence why it kept getting red updates during the weekend and started rebounding today. Foivos 64
I was wondering ... why are Roseland Shows not included in ArtRave? I mean 7 sold out show would add an extra of 1,5 million in the gross and certainly shut the hater's mouths (7 sold out shows in NYC)
