Pazuzu 96
Lungs is more easy to like. I actually got between the lungs deluxe repackage or whatever by accident instead of cermonials. :toofloppy: so,... :lala:

Guest theFuture
I'm getting both of the albums on Tuesday, can someone tell me whether or not the albums are CDs or digipaks? :) Those are CDs... This is a digipack... Your question makes no sense, actually. But I guess what your asking for is wether the CDs are in clear jewel cases or cardboard digipacks, right? To answer your question: depends on the pressing or version you bought from both albums. "Lungs" has been exclusively released as a digipack in the UK and Australia only coming with a bonus disc. All other editions come in a jewel case with the standard disc of 13 songs in it. The US recently released a Special Edition of the album that comes as a 2CD-set with all b-sides on the second disc only omitting "Bird Song (Intro)". "Ceremonials" was available as both 2CD digipack in Europe only and as 1CD jewel case version. The US released an additional special edition in digipack that includes four bonus tracks only on the same disc. For further and detailed information on all releases check "Lungs" and "Ceremonials" on Discogs.

My question does make sense, there was just a misuse of vocabulary due to 'CDs' being a part of my natural vocabulary over 'jewel-case'. Thank you for correcting my mistake. However, it was unnecessary to post photos of the difference between the two, and it came off as fairly condescending. I know of the 'Between Two Lungs' Lungs re-release already and the differences between the regular and deluxe editions; I just wanted to know if jewel-cases of the albums are available in the US because I prefer them over digipaks, but thank you for sharing that information anyway.

In the UK, I have only seen jewel case standard edition ceremonials and only digipack deluxe edition ones So I'm not sure if its different for the US, but that's the case here :) no pun intended hehe

It is a digital medium to carry music or other media and not a case to hold it. If you expressed yourself more clearly, posting photos for visual explanation wouldn't have been necessary. Regarding the misuse of umbrella terms it was necessary. It would be like asking "Are they vinyls or gatefold sleeves?" As you have been asking for US releases - which was not clear in your original post - we have the following:"Lungs", 13 tracks, jewel case"Lungs", 13 tracks + DVD, jewel case [best Buy only]"Lungs", 13 tracks + 11-track bonus CD, jewel case"Ceremonials", 12 tracks, jewel case"Ceremonials", 16 tracks, digipack

As I stated in my post, it is a natural tendency to refer to a jewel-case as a CD due to my upbringing and the fact that digipaks were a rarity in the US up until recently. There was no need to define either for me once more in your second post. I thanked you for correcting my mistake, as well as thanked you in the following paragraph (that you did not quote) for sharing your information, along with a smiley, to show you that there are no hard feelings and that I was thankful. My first paragraph served to show you that you still came off as condescending, regardless of your help -- not to take a hit at you, but to inform you so that you know that people may be insulted and possibly respond harshly in response to the way that you were speaking. It seems as if you've missed the second half of my post or are possibly ignoring it, in order to start a debate or an argument of some sort. I apologize if I'm wrong, but that is the vibe that I'm getting. Although I did not state in my original post that I am from the US, my location underneath my avatar says that I am in New York, so I believe it should be clear to the GGD community that I live in the US, just as how I would know that you were in Germany from your location. Thank you for the information again. I will be purchasing both albums on Tuesday. Edited December 26, 2011 by AyaKara
