Ladle Ghoulash 16,949
:) But I didn't like it when she said: I can't believe you still like me! Come on Gaga, stop focussing on all the negative stuff. I mean, she has a point. The pop scene is pretty fickle.
gagaconvert 68
I wouldn't say Gaga seems sad in these interviews, but, it's more that she's being more upfront with things she normally would've hidden, which can be hard. Exactly. People just aren't used to her talking about the hardships she's gone through and opening up more about certain things. It's not all fun and roses, y'all. She's being honest. She's a human being with emotions just like the rest of us! From personal experience, it's not good to hide those sad feelings away and only present your 'happy' self to others because it will start to eat at you...so I for one am really happy and proud that she feels strong enough to be sharing these 'darker' things with us. IDGAF if it puts some people off buying the album, as long as she stays as mentally and physically healthy as possible, that's all that matters. For the longest time, I've been kind of trying to run away from underlying issues in my life and now, I'm actually taking steps to talk about them and it's really helping me out. I think that that's exactly what she's doing. It's very therapeutic, but, also emotionally taxing.
gagaconvert 68
She is just talking about her pain now and it's bringing the mood down in everything. I just want her to be a fun pop star again that does occasionally give us insight into some things she is going through. She just doesn't seem to have a superstar presence anymore because she keeps talking about d--g addictions and sadness. If she feels better for letting some of the sadness out, then all fans should be supportive and understand it (or at least try to). A lot of people forget that popstars are still HUMANS with emotions, good days and bad days, insecurities etc. It saddens me that instead of realising how wonderful and strong it is of Gaga to be sharing these parts of her with us, some people are berating her for being a 'downer'! Stop wanting to see things through rose-tinted glasses. The reality is that she's been through some really **** times and is only JUST NOW starting to begin to open up about them, and y'all are jumping on her ass for bringing the mood down?! We owe her more than that. I would rather any day see someone be honest and real like she is than just a happy robot all the time. You can't just ignore the sadder emotions, it doesn't work like that, and if she wants to bring them up in an interview here and there, then so be it. If you can't be bothered with them, then find someone else to stan for. /rant

I think she has realised that talking about her issues more is a way of helping to deal with them. I'm just sad that some fans don't appreciate that. I'm really happy that her being more open recently has spurred you on to do the same. That's amazing. I can totally relate too; I had depression for the longest time and would keep my feelings hidden SO deep inside me that they'd barely come out once a year. It took so long for me to feel strong enough to open up about them, and ever since I have (although it's a slow process) I feel better and more positive about life. Just remember that addressing your issues is the only way to overcome/deal properly with them, no matter how hard the process may be. Stay strong! And feel free to PM me if you ever need to talk. Yeah, I am very hurt person but I'm very closed too, I rarely speak out because I feel misunderstood. All the things are driving me crazy, but when I tell about it to someone, I always feel a little bit better. I can't imagine what Gaga went through when she was holding all her pain inside.. Yeah. I am depressed too and I rarely speak about my feeling. I feel like nobody cares and understands, but I do know that when you speak about your issiues with someone you fell better. djBuffoon 12,029
I actually loved these clips. Yes it's very serious, and kind of upsetting to see our girl getting very self-reflective on a typically lighthearted show. But I also think now was a perfect time to lift the veil for a second and explain to her detractors WHY she handles her fashion and art this specific way. The vast majority of the people who claim to hate her simply misunderstand her intentions. And I, for one, am glad that she addressed them directly and said "Listen, you think I do this strictly for attention, but that is not the truth at all." BloodyMaryJane 7
She was only serious for one part of the interview. I don't get what's with the comments.
