Ashton 0
Aura - August 19th This single literally changes the whole game. It's about how Gaga wants to change everything and restart new. She wants to rise up from the bottom and rise to the top. It's literally the beginning of ARTPOP, and it's a good foundation to start at. The strangeness of the lyrics, production, and way she sings the verses grabs instant attention, and everyone instantly falls in love with it because of the catchy godly chorus and the amazing fresh dynamic production. Aura also gets a few performances, including the famous MTV-VMA's. perfect Venus - October 28th Right after Aura is starting to slip away off the charts and people's minds, Venus will rise. Just after they thought that Lady Gaga couldn't get any weirder, they hear this song. One completely done by Lady Gaga, and no one else. Riding the success from Aura, this track garners instant attention. The melody and number of hooks keep this song stuck in everyone's head over the winter months, and the performances get extremely controversial, because of Gaga's "Natural" acts... Naked, must I even say it? Also, it gets a major performance at the AMA's G.U.Y - January 20th, 2014 Sex sells, and this song brings the classic "not too weird, but not normal Gaga" feel. Girl Under You is a catchy power bottom anthem that brings music to the next level. Just when you thought everything has been sung about, well you haven't heard this. Gaga is changing from the artistic side to the pop side. However, G.U.Y still holds a bit of both, especially the music video, which becomes extremely confusing for everyone. (Like most Gaga videos) Nonetheless, G.U.Y. is that classic Gaga song that people can trace back to. The vocals, s-xual lyrics, and even the rumour of her being a guy all give the song instant attention. The song becomes a parody cess-pool, which gives it the most attention. This single also gets a Grammy performance. Sexxx Dreams - April 7th What do I even need to say about this one? The AMAZING hook and 80's groove sound sell this song completely. It also goes on to be the song of the summer. This single literally changes Gaga's appearance completely. The performance of this single on the charts + radio shows that the Gaga everyone knew and loved in 2009 is back, and she's here to continue to slay. Sexxx Dreams also gets a BMA performance. Gypsy - July 21st The summer is half over, but by the time this song is popular, Summer will be almost ending, and thus will bring "Gypsy" into everyone's heart. People will be reminded of their summer flings from this song, and also the memories of travelling and being free through out their summer. Mostly popular in youngsters, however, this single will also get a VMA performance, which will bring one individual from each country together on stage. The performance will bring tears to people's eyes, because it's possible for everyone in the world to be under one roof. Applause - October 6th This song closes out everything about ARTPOP. It brings it all together in one simple, yet amazing track that everyone falls in love with. It becomes the anthem to many sporting events, and Gaga even does the halftime show for the Superbowl and closes the show with "Applause". Honestly, there is nothing better than some applause at the end, and that is something that Lady Gaga deserves. Open with the aura and end with some applause. That's all everybody needs in life. The Child 18,997
I mean the structure of the song is so weird, it is catchy but there are better songs on ARTPOP that deserve more recognition. Just because Gaga produced it doesn't mean it's the best song of ARTPOP and that it would have slayed as a single. ‘If religion be the cause of disunity, then irreligion is surely to be preferred.’ ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
