Thats not fair either. Its a competition. Katy is still celebrated for having 5 no 1 from Teenage dream, even if she just did the same thing : play it until the limit. There were some initial controversies, but now almost everybody outside forums forgot that she sold her songs for 69 cents and had remix after remix just to push her songs to the top. Everyone knows 1D are huge and they don't really need this, Gaga and even Katy do need this they are both having trouble selling atm and singles would help. But they didnt just literally shoot one song up every day. They had gaps so they would leave the charts with the first promo before the next came. DWUW is the biggest flop of her career since clapclap Lol, i'm sorry but since when is dope an obvious hit? It only charted because of streams. Also applause didn't flop. They even sold those via packages that were to be sold starting Monday! Those were 400 and 550 dollars each on tktmstr and are gone! No cheap seats left they sold in ten minutes!
